The Steelers game is the biggest one remaining based on current formula

That makes perfect sense. A split in the next two seems likely. I personally hate this Cleveland game. Wins at home vs. Denver and the Jets appear very likely. It's quite possible the Bills lose to the Cowboys, Ravens, and at NE. That scenario would make at Pitt the difference between 9 and 10 wins.

It would be great if they surprise and win some games they "shouldn't" win, but that's easier said than done.

I would say this Cleveland game and AT Pitt are 1A and 1B in terms of critical matchups. IF, IF, IF they beat Cleveland, alot of things change in our favor.

Steelers should lose this week against the Rams... Should being the key word. That would help a lot.

I don’t know

We need wins against browns Steelers dolphins jets

If we beat MIA, NYJ, DEN, CLE, we are at 93%. That stretch from week 13-16 is going to be tough.

This Sunday is huge. I don't see this team going into Pittsburgh and getting much done offensively against that defense. Beating the Dolphins, Broncos and Jets gets them to 9 (assuming they do win those 3). Out of the remaining games, @Cleveland is the "easiest".

Nothing JV about the Steelers team the Bills will be facing in DEC. Backup QB in due to injury, that’s about it. They’ll probably be fighting for their playoff lives to boot. That ‘04 game was full of backups all over the place , and Cowher did everything he could short of forfeit to hand his buddy Mularkey a playoff berth.

We shouldn't have to labor over this this year. Bills have some of best odds in the league and people are still freaking out talking about if-then scenarios as if we're 3-5.

You don't see Bills going into Pittsburgh and getting much done offensively against "that defense" (ranked 11th in yds, 13th in pts) but you don't mention the possibility of their 28th ranked offense having trouble against our 3rd ranked defense?

Winning in Pitt won't be easy, but they got back to 4-4 with a hard fought win against Dolphins (yes, i know) and beating Colts w/o Brissett when the only player older than I am missed a field goal at end of game. This is not the Steelers of a few years ago.

Tomlin said he never expected to be here. He knows they're not very good and have been getting lucky.

It's amazing looking at the different percentages between the Bills and Vikings.  Really puts a number on the extent to which the Pats* have kept us from being competitive in the post season.

The Bills start this season does a great job of highlighting how important strength of schedule is.

What exactly is a bye week in the playoffs and home field advantage worth in percentage terms for winning or making it to the Superbowl.

That is the team's job. As a fan i can look ahead and do all the permutations I want. That's the fun of random. I also don't have to hit the weights and do film study.

I think it's going to take more than 12 wins to win the division. Patriots aren't going 4-3 the rest of the way.

This, completely.  The Pats*** have a brutal run coming up and if they lose just one or two our game at Foxboro in W16 would be for the division if Buffalo can get there with only one more loss.  Can the Bills go 5-1 @CLE, DEN, @MIA, @DAL, BAL, @PIT?  That puts them at 11-3 and playing their biggest game in two decades.

sure, why not?   well, there are lots of reasons why not, but hey this is a fan board.  trust the process.   good progress this year.

Yup, why not?  Of course, the more likely scenario is 10-6 and a wild card, but playing around with that playoff machine they even have a good shot at 9-7 -- not that we want to see that.

A playoff appearance this season, with Allen progressing nicely and boatloads of draft picks and cash, should make most fans happy.

2020 is the year to claim dominance.

Bills are a lock if they finish 5-3 or better, virtual lock at 4-4, and will need help at 3-5.

This makes logical sense.  They don't deserve playoffs if they can't win 4 with the remaining schedule.

Buffalo finds its run defense & Allen finds his long ball with no turnovers. The Bills win out and take the division and home field.
