We dont have anyone at running back that is a HR threat, and yes McCoy even at 75% of his prime is still one.

Wade needs to develope quickly.

If speed is what you want, why are you so broken up over Shady?

After the trades and cuts we should have a pretty healthy cap number both this year and heading into next.  Just from shady and Bodine we added more than $8 Mil.

Spotrac has them at $32.6M with the top-51, which should be $31 with the 53.

Who ***** cares about the cap. How about some ***** wins.

Well, you need cap space to sign more players.

Making room for Clowney?  Ha. Kidding but you know what I mean.

A lock from when? Since the day they were drafted? Of course not.

it was kind of my point...…...I agree with you so hence the shock I would even question he being named to the roster is a bit ironic....I think he WILL be on the roster and am happy we found a guy who can contribute that late in the draft.

Its a subjective call many wouldn't have predicted Duke Williams being cut either. Yes it would have been an unlikely surprise I believe he has earned it but have there been guaranteed 7th round locks in Bills history?

Duke was a 50/50 call. Not suggesting Sweeney was a lock from the get-go, but by all accounts he has earned it esp. when Knox was out.

Duke not making the team shouldn't have caught anyone off guard. He caught 2 nice jump ball TDs, but once you got away from jump balls he didn't do much. Averaged under 9 yards a catch against talent he should've been dominating. He's already 26 years old & way too slow to play WR in the NFL. IMO Sweeney has been pretty much a lock for several weeks now.

With Pitts, Lacy, and McCoy cut, I think that puts Perry on the roster. Depth RB with ST ability.

Edit: or they could find somebody else off waivers to fill that role. Perry didn't necessarily impress when he got his chances.

Where are we on WRs?

Cole

Brown

Zay

Roberts

McKenzie

Foster

Sills

Easley

bolden

Phillips

Bolden and Easely are already gone which leaves Sills and Phillips going for theblast WE spot if they go with 7. I still feel like they will regret releasing Duke. I just got a feeling, I could be wrong though

I've been going back and forth with people all week, thinking he wasn't going to make it on the 53 man roster, he's too slow to play between the 20s. Put him on the PS and spend the year gaining ~25 pounds & convert him to a TE. He's got a big frame, strong hands & is a really good blocker. I think he would excel at TE once he knows the position.

...surprised about Duke....read a McBeane quote(paraphrased), "the signing of Duke Williams made drafting a WR early not a top priority"...interesting....didn't think Shady would be a definite goner, but he has one year left.....any GM in the league would wait out Bills cuts versus trading a pick for one year.....guys like Gore (36) and D (33) defy odds and just "keep on tickin'".....not so sure Shady is in that category..........

The Bills are following the Patriots RB model, lots of different options/looks and no bell cow.

You are thinking McCoy is going to our rush Singletary and Gore combined?

We don't even know where he's going yet, do we ?  People just upset about the move---> right now

Duke is really the only one bothering me so far. I think he earned a spot over Phillips and especially Sills.

If they kept Duke, he would've only been used in the Redzone. I don't think McBeane wanted to keep a player on the 53 man roster just for that. JMO. I did think Shady had one more year in him though.

The read I get is they wanted both McKenzie and Williams and McKenzie isn’t PS eligible so they are taking chance on Williams making it past waivers. We’ll see if that works.

typically WR4,5,6 have to contribute on special teams.  Williams, was not a special teams guy and not good enough to unseat Brown, Beasley, or Jones.

Me to. It was said that when the Bills signed him that he had about 10 teams interested in his services. I don't know If he makes it through waivers
