Is there anything you own you really like that’s not made anymore?

I have three sets, Classic Jarts, Hasbro Javelin Jarts and the ones shown here, My favorite, Regent Slider Jarts.

We have three or four competitive games each year with a group of guys. Best yard game ever and not at all dangerous if you have reasonable adults playing.

Do you have to designate a Rangemaster?

Maybe you could get some coal delivered next week?  The Ice Box is really nice though!

Had one of those in ROTC.  Got my thumb stuck in it, never liked it after that.

If you operate the rifle correctly, you'll never get your thumb stuck in the action.

Cleary Canadian drinks.  I don't believe they sell them in the US anymore so you have to order them from Amazon or Ebay...prices are jacked up.

A damn 4 pack is $32.00.  This is probably my favorite drink of all time.

Loved the cherry. When I was a kid my dad would always get me one when we stopped for gas on the way to Sabres games.

Yeah, I've seen both of those. Gridiron Champions seems like a scam at this point or at least they've made little to no progress towards actually making a game. I think NCAA 14 looked better than Maximum Football 2018 did; we'll see with 2019 but I don't have much faith. Either way it wouldn't be a licensed college game but if it's good enough, I wouldn't care that much.

The cherry was the best.   They used to sell them in Georgia at most gas stations down here.  My friends and I would ride our bikes almost daily to get one of these.

They were like $.80 for a bottle.  Now they're $8.00 a bottle!

I got lucky and bough these old dressers online from an auction. I got the 2 for like $200. After researching them I realized they are actually probably worth in the thousands. But I'll never sell them, they are gorgeous and so well made. Crazy what a difference quality craftsmanship makes.

Lane Altavista is the company that made them which is no longer around. Mine are from 1984.

The irony of finding a VHS tape of something called "Things that aren't there anymore" is fascinating in and of itself.

Got a player and dozens of tapes   (non porn for you smartasses)

Friend of mine had a Jart go through his hand...worst part is, he can no longer eat M&Ms.

I bought my buddy's for $25 when he upgraded.  I was using it for music when I was traveling more.  I'm not a fan of putting music on my phone, so I enjoy keeping the music on a separate device.   I haven't used it in a couple years, but it's still around.

I keep both a classic and my older nano (2gb - maxed out at 300 songs) in my car, plugged into the aux.  I use them for road trips.  The nano for music and the classic for podcasts (only because I cant bother to take the time to move the music from the nano over to the classic).

Edit:  I miss jalapeno Fritos.

I don't own it any more because we used them all up, but Trader Joe's made a thai green curry simmer sauce that was amazing.  I guess they didn't think it was authentic enough so they reformulated it and the new sauce is nothing special.

Still sold in Canada if you're up for a Bills game, just jump across the border to a 7-Eleven or Sorbey's.

I miss those Old Vienna splits! Couldn’t find them anywhere the last few trips up.

First of all, let me say that, with apologies to Willie and Julio, "of all the things I've loved before..." OV splits might top the list. They've been MIA for many years now. There was one quick reprieve (around 2002 or 2003 perhaps?) when they supposedly "discovered" a stash of unused bottles and did one more release. I may be off on the date by as many as 10 years, so take that with a grain of salt.  Funny thing is, I don't like OV in any other format. But the splits? Freaking heaven.

"Hey Dino, want another beer?"

"No way I can drink another beer."

"A split?"

"Sure, I'll take a split."

And then proceed to drink MANY more splits. Cold til the last sip.

I'm the kiss of death when it comes to having products I like be discontinued/stopped being carried locally/etc. I basically assume if I find something new I like, it won't be around a year or two down the road.

In my high school/early college days my parents had a big 5 BR house with a pool table in the basement. They traveled A LOT for work, so I often had the place to myself. A teenager with fridge in the basement full of OV Splits, a pool table and a bunch of friends. It worked!

They were gone one weekend and I had a keg party planned. BIG party. At the last minute my mother calls. The parents of my parents best friends will be in town, and staying in one of our extra bedrooms. HUH? NOW is not a good time to tell me Nana and Pudda are coming for the weekend!

I tried to downscale the party, but.....teenagers. ‘Nuff said. I’m super nervous, but before too long Pudda is shouting over the music and the crowd “DON’T YOU HAVE ANY JACK DANIELS AROUND HERE?”.  He was a helluva pool player, too! That just might have been the best weekend of his life!

She was a HOOT! They were a pair matched in heaven. But she couldn’t shoot pool quite like he could. Bold enough to try, though. Maybe she was just too drunk? He schooled some of my teenage friends, and I had a legit excuse for why my dad’s Jack Daniels was gone! Hey, I didn’t invite them! (But I’m glad they came! I hope I’m that fun when I get to that age!)

Those were different days, for sure. I had one of my high school buddies over one night for beer and billiards. The next day I left the neighborhood and a newly planted 15 foot tree was knocked over. The next time I saw Steve, his front bumper was crushed, and his dashboard was help in place by rope. It stayed that way as long as I knew him. ?

Before we could drive, I remember my GF’s dad coming with a buddy to pick a bunch of us up from the movies. They each had a roadie, and it was like bobsledding home sliding off the snow banks on both sides of the road. Different times.....
