This is the "we're playing for Vance's job" game. And somehow I don't think that's gonna bring out a mega effort from the Broncos. I've seen every Broncos game this year. What's killing him now (beyond modest talent) is a lack of weapons. Broncos probably threw in the towel a little early by trading Demaryius Thomas. And then they lost Emmanuel Sanders a couple weeks ago. Keenum's contract isn't a killer by any means, but the Broncos will be stuck with something like the 13th pick in a very weak QB draft ... in other words, kind of like the Bills when we talked ourselves into drafting EJ Manuel with a 1st. But it was true as well when he had Emmanuel Sanders and Demaryius Thomas at WR. The one guy who made a difference this year was Heuerman at TE, but he blew up his knee a couple weeks ago. Right now it's a Bills-style receiving corps for Keenum On another point: I thought the Browns were fools for not doubling up on a QB + Saquon Barkley with 2 first rounders.
