You guys do realize that Josh Rosen looking like trash has nothing to with Josh Allen, correct?

Wrong.  Rosen is teaching a lot of people on this board that rookie QB's playing on bad offenses tend to struggle big time.  On top of that it seems like since the day Allen was drafted by Buffalo, there have been a lot of Bills fans complaining that we should have drafted Rosen.  It may not be right but a performance like this by Risen does take some of the pessure off Allen.

Rosen is taking a serious beating.  Bad teams pick high for QB’s, and are generally teams that lose on the LOS. That’s what makes them bad teams. Maybe there’s merit to building the OLine a bit to save your most important player? Just a thought....

OH, and that might apply to our team!

No it doesn't at all.  Allen has his own path of development that has nothing to do with Rosen.

True I mean it's what his 3rd game starting but besides that the only people him stinking it up might take pressure off is the FO for not picking him instead.

Totally different paths. Two different people, skill sets and situations. But they both need protection and weapons to have any idea what they are capable of.

Disagree, for reasons beyond either QB's control Allen & Rosen are joined at the hip because of the actions of their teams on draft day.  Hell, we're posting on a thread titled  "The Rosen Era has Begun in Arizona" on a freaking Buffalo Bills message board!  That is weird if you think about it.

You should of seen the love the Browns we're getting on this board before the season. That didn't last very long.

I can’t imagine this place if Allen had the night Rosen has had.

Hey - they got as many wins this season as they have in the past 2. Pretty impressive!

It's not teaching us anything about Josh Allen. I'm really not trying to be "that guy," but the celebration about Rosen struggling is a little creepy.

Rosen may have been the “most pro ready” and “throw the best ball”, but he looks like the little JV QB out there against the big boys. It makes me feel better about our guy.

It shouldn't.  His team is over matched tonight against the DEN DL.

Long time lurker though.  My point was just that Bills fans and I suspect Cards fans are going to be comparing Rosen & Allen for as long as both are in the NFL.  And for the record I think they'll both have long NFL careers.

BTW, why the hell is Rosen still out there?  Do they want to get him killed?

No point in putting Mike Glennon out there.

It may not be teaching us anything about Allen but it sure as hell is calibrating Allen's performance relative to one of the other rookie QB's.

OH, like OUR line hasn’t  been outmatched?  Given pure protection, I take Rosen today. I’m not sure he’ll last long enough to prove he's better.

The last couple of weeks the Bills OL has been decent.  Tonight was a clown show for the ARI OL with both starting Guards out and Von Miller creating havoc.

I don't think people understand that the Bills could of picked either Josh. So yes I expect it to spring up in debate. I don't why why they giving you a hard time over it.

Sounds strange since Allen is out, but I question Rosen’s ability to keep taking the beating. Especially with his concussion history. I wish them all good health, and time will tell. Rosen just looks fragile.

Sure but Rosen also has no escapability from the pocket whatsoever. Which was a known flaw of his coming out of UCLA. That was my biggest concern about him pre-draft. If you can't ever evade pressure you will not survive the NFL.

When I lived in SC and people talked about education, they used to say “thank God for Mississippi!” Watching the Cardinals, I feel like that should be the Bills mantra.

I’m from Mississippi and I have a Masters Degree and a good job with the government. What’s your point?

You know what? I'm being a hypocrite on this. I constantly bemoan the fact that we didn't draft Mahomes, so it's only fair to revel in Rosen's failure tonight.

Rosen had absolutely no chance to throw and zero protection, but overall it's fair game.

I disagree. He has pocket mobility and maneuverability even though he's no threat to run.

That's fair and while I think the Cards have a better assortment of receiver options for Rosen then the Bills have for Allen their O-line is clearly inferior to the Bills.  But to also be fair  the improvement in the Bills O-line play is due to both better play by the Bills linemen and Allen's mobility.

Really? Every time there was pressure in the pocket he was either sacked, stripped, or threw the ball into the ground on his way down.

I’m just watching, and it’s how he looks. The eye test.  I find stats for him being lighter, and he looks lighter. But again....time will tell. I think I would have taken him at #7.

Not really. Allen has actually run into sacks on a few occasions and held the ball too long instead of pulling the trigger.  The OL has just settled down a bit in the last couple of weeks.

Did you see how fast pressure was coming?  No QB is going to escape that.   ARI OL vs. DEN DL was a mismatch.

My point is SC had lousy education, but other places produced outstanding examples of higher education who also enhanced their status by being Buffalo Bills fans. What more could you ask for?
