The team informed the receiver he will be released on Saturday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. The Ravens shopped Perriman but found no takers, per Rapoport. The former first-round pick never found his way in Baltimore. After injury wiped out his entire rookie season, Perriman struggled to find his place on the field. He dealt with drops, route running problems and never seemed to earn Joe Flacco's trust. Edited September 1, 2018 by OldTimeAFLGuy

Domdab99
Breshad Perriman. I remember him, a guy who could run in a straight line fast but didn't do anything else to warrant getting picked in the top 3 rounds much less the first one. Why is Ozzie so revered again? scribo
The idea is not to sign him to play him. The idea is to sign him to use whatever he knows about the Ravens' offense and gameplan.

bobobonators
I would actually be in favor of acquiring him. 2 hours ago, 26CornerBlitz said: Two Super Bowl Rings and multiple playoff appearances should remind you why. His rosters were so deep he was able to win Super Bowls with Trent Dilfer and Joe Flacco at QB. The Ravens have been relevant for 2 decades without having a single great QB. Ozzie is a genius as far as im concerned. Crown his ass. Edited September 2, 2018 by bobobonators

Everyone has an Achilles heel and WR was Ozzie Newsome's. He just had bad luck drafting that position his entire tenure in Baltimore. Maybe he righted the ship for them on his way out. He always acquired good vet WR's but his drafted WR's were straight putrid.

26CornerBlitz
Ravens Coach John Harbaugh Excited to See Breshad Perriman Get a 'Fresh Start' Elsewhere Breshad Perriman could not find a spot on the Ravens’ 53-man roster, but his former coach is rooting for him. With the 24-year-old wide receiver reportedly set to work out for the New York Jets on Monday, and visits with the New York Giants and Buffalo Bills also possible, Perriman could get a new lease on his NFL career after three underwhelming years in Baltimore. Count John Harbaugh among the former first-round pick’s well-wishers. The 24-year-old led the Ravens in the preseason in receptions (11) and receiving yards (136) and had one touchdown catch before getting cut Saturday.
