Foster clearly has the talent to contribute.

As I said earlier in this thread, it really will come down to whether or not he can be a quality contributor on special teams. If so, he can carve out a spot on the 53 man roster. If not, he'll be a practice squad candidate at best.

One thing I've learned over the years is to not get my hopes up too high for "UDFA STEAL RECEIVERS!!!!!!!". Martin Nance, Da'Rick Rogers, and Brandon Reilly all say "hello".

I'm just wondering how he doesn't make the roster at this point.  Who do we have on the depth chart ahead of him?   An orange cone?

It will depend on how many WR's the Bills keep. KB, Jones, McCould, and Streater seem like the top 4 right now. The will leave one or two spots at WR.

...what is his ST prowess?.....could improve his chances......

Someone said we could use him like Tyreek Hill which would be great because he could return kicks and punts.

He is competing to make the roster as a wide receiver, PERIOD.

Benjamin
Jones
Kerley
Holmes

are likely making the roster. That leaves two spots at most. I'd LOVE it if Foster beat out Andre Holmes and could contribute on special teams and offense. Time will tell if he can do it.

Not disagreeing...

But Kerley has been given multiple shots around the league, he better shine or I might think of going with my younger guys to get experience.

And I’m just not sold on Holmes, I rooted for him last year, but he just seemed to disappear in games. He hasn’t really been mentioned much... yeah he’s special teams.  Question is can Reilly fill his shoes?

KB

Jones

Streater

Reilly

Prohel

Foster/McCloud

I'd like to see him and my guy Ray Ray step up and make the team. I also like what I'm hearing about Dupre.

It's going to be close.

I think Zay, Kerley, and Benjamin will be locks. Also think Holmes with be our primary Split End backup. After that gonna have Foster, Reilly Dupre, McCloud and Streater for one  or two spots.  No idea who will get it but I'm rooting for Reilly. Think he would be the most consistent out of the bunch. But seems coaches like Dupre more. Feel that Foster is the type that looks good in practice but will never translate to the field.  McCloud could make team as a returner but as a receiver he is behind the others.

...so then is "Ha-Ha Clinton Dixon" in your wheelhouse??....just askin....

No, Ray Ray and Choo Choo are cool. Ha Ha sounds like some kid from North Korea (not that there's anything wrong with that).

Me, I have no use for high-motor, lunch-pail WR's unless Tom Brady is my QB.

......just a hunch, but Foster and Wallace kids are my dark horses to make the club.....

Yep and I hope that Reilly, dupri and Foster all make the roster. A year from now we will be talking about having a talented young Corp. To build on.

....whoa...that could be foxhole and kevlar vest material with the all knowing (COUGH) pundits 'round here who say "WORST WR corp in the league".....note that I am "war ready" and AGREE with you....Benjain is healthy and in his contract year (funny how things happen then right?), Reilly earned his shot and not activating him in 2018 is asinine (didn't in 2017 to prevent accrued season IMO)....the Foster kid is a formidable dark horse......so some of these vets had better show up or pack.........Ray-Ray and Proehl are hungry kids as well...stay tuned.....

Can someone on these boards please post what they see in Kerley???

Scouting report please. Is he a lock for the slot?

Ex-Jet scrub. More the kind of guy you pick up in a pinch during the season after your other WR's go down.

I don't think that anyone other than Benjamin is a true lock to make this team. What Zay Jones has going for him right now is a relatively high dead cap hit if released. ($3,076,264)

Other than that I think it's strictly who shows the most in camp and in the preseason games. (and obviously injuries) It goes without saying that playing and contributing on special teams will enhance the chances of that player making the team as well.

Well since we only have so many wr spots hopefully we can hide the 2 rookies for a year on the p.s....proehl and rayray that is.

Who is mccloud? Im very intrigued by dupree and foster

Ray ray. Rookie from Clemson. Late round pick, talented kid with upside but not a lot of proven production. Can return punts and play ST, also can be kind of a hybrid RB/WR

Duh, whoops, i knew that

I’d be interested to know the actual depth chart now, I’d like:

KB

Zay

Kerley (in the beginning) (demoted/cut later for more talented/younger)

Foster

Dupree

Ray Ray

Prohel

I'm over Zay Jones... I used strikethrough to fix your post. -Although , you could add Reilly in Zay's place

Dupre has been getting 1st team reps too per Sal

Yolo I get that. But right now Rep counts in the 3rd day of camp really do not mean anything to me. Now if he is still with the ones by next week then I will start considering him already on the 53.

I don’t consider him on the 53 by any means but I think they like him

O I do too. Just like the QB rotation points to me how much they Like Peterman. When he is not with the 1s he is always with the 2s. And McCarron flip between 1 and 3s.

That kinds lends some credence to my thinking if Allen wins the Job outright McCarron could be cut outright.
