Super Bowl Menu

Recommended Posts

  • Wings - fried, homemade.  Will have a hot sauce, medium sauce and a Thai chili sauce.
  • Jalapeno poppers - fried, homemade.  Filled with cream cheese, cheddar and bacon bits (real bacon).
  • Buffalo chicken pizza - bagged dough.  Will season the dough.  Toppings, chicken breast (baked) bathed in Frank's.  Frank's wing sauce as the base; mozzarella/cheddar cheese, green and red peppers, chicken and bacon bits, then drizzled with blue cheese and Frank's red hot.
  • Buffalo chicken meatballs - mix a bottle of Frank's wing sauce with a packet of dry ranch dressing; add premade balls; put in crockpot for a few hours.
  • Chili/cheese nachos.
  • Buffalo chicken dip - the basic cream cheese, Frank's and chicken breast.
  • Taquitos - frozen in the box.  This has been an annual tradition that my son loves.

It'll just be me, my son and my brother.  Anyone is welcome to come, as there will be a LOT of food!!!

What you got?!?!?

Dayum! what time ?

re: dip, add chunky bleu cheese dressing to the pot:)

Myself, I'm kinda fond of Sweet Baby Ray's buffalo wing sauce..

Make my own meatballs with ground turkey that can be had (for some reason) cheaper than chicken. I bake them.

Sounds awesome!

You invite the whole cell-block?

Pretty basic in my house. Pre-game we'll have chili and during the game:

Cheeseburger Sliders

Pigs in Blankets

Chicken Wings (hot sauce)

Mozzarella Sticks

Chips and salsa

Is the Thai chili sauce homemade or store bought? Could you share the recipe or brand? Love Thai chili but I've only ever had it out.

left overs from tonight.  Wife had pasta and meatballs and I had hell’s seafood    Lobster, scallops, and shrimps on pasta. Spicy white garlic sauce.

I ate leftover seafood pasta once. Never again. No need to elaborate.

Everything on your menu is spicy. I would need some Pepto to survive that.

How do you make those poppers? I was thinking of trying that in my new air fryer.

Halve the jalapenos

Cake the filling in the halves

Dip in milk, then flour, let them rest for 10 min

Dip in milk, then bread crumbs, let them rest for 10 min

Dip in milk, then bread crumbs, let the rest for 10 min

Fry at 375 until golden brown.

But I'm frying in a deep fryer with peanut oil.

EDIT:  I roasted the jalapenos tonight to soften them up a bit, and threw them in the fridge until tomorrow.

Whatever looks good on the menu at the casino.

Turned out we did the buffet and had Prime rib, smashed spuds, pizza, sweet n sour wings, lo mein, sesame chicken, fried rice, shrimp and chocolate mint pie. I was stuffed.

Yall eat way too much "Buffalo Wing" sauce..I love Buffalo Wings, but don't want 4 things on a menu of 7 things to all taste like Buffalo Sauce!

Now, as per my menu, we go to a friends house, and he breads his wings..and to be nice I have to eat them! Dreading it already!

They taste like mini BLT's

  • Cut the top off the cherry tomatoes and remove the seeds and core
  • Crispify the bacon and mince
  • Mix bacon, mayo, and green onions in a bowl
  • Pipe the mixture into the tomatoes and serve cold.

Warning, these go fast so make a lot!

Some of us can’t afford to lose any....

I had a wicked cold attack me out of nowhere yesterday. I’ll be watching home alone as no one in their right mind wants to be in the same room with me today. Well, maybe not JUST today, but especially today!

Am I the only one here who finds wings to be kind of gross, at least later in life?

I used to love them and pound them in my youth, but man, that stuff is greasy, fatty, and they are little heart attacks on a bone.

I'm not sure I've had a wing in 15 years.

i despice wings that are greasy, breaded, and heavily sauced. Naked, fried at correct temp and not crowded in pot, light sauce,..beautiful food!

I’ve been caught! And by a picky eater at that!!!!   :P

I agree that greasy and flabby make for disgusting food. (It’s not a great quality in people either, but that’s another story.) Not a fan of breaded either, but if the sauce is good I rejoice and more is just fine. My son will dip just the tip of a chip into dip, then rub off what little dip he collected on the side of the dish, effectively wasting the entire dipping farce! He probably agrees with you on the over-sauced front.

I can’t pound wings any more. The minimum order is often 5-6 wings. I won’t get them if the minimum is 10. Double the wings I want.

I had a friend in town and we stopped for a slice of pizza and some wings. We were going to get 10, but he said he likes them left over (yuck!).  So we ordered 20. I had two....and there were no leftovers! Not shocking that he’s gained 50 pounds in the last 5 years. He got a complete work up and the doctor asked him if he knew he’d had a heart attack. He says he thinks it was the day we were playing tennis and I stood over him on the ground and laughed. I really thought he was hamming it up!  I’m going to Hell...... I’ll say Hi to Brady and Bellichick for you.

Love ya, dude, but you're wrong here. Cold breakfast wings are great, too. As long as they were good the day before of course.

I kid you not, out with friends for dinner last night, a nice restaurant that has different wings as an appetizer, and they are awesome.

Next to us was an older couple,( like your age Augie:lol: ), and a young priest, and they get an order of wings to split. There are like 5 wings to an order, and the lady puts on the plate and proceeds to try and eat with fork and knife, and so the priest follows suit. I felt so bad for him, but figure he was prolly trying to work a donation or something. They each had one, did not eat the other two..cause way to much a pain in the ass to eat a wing with a knife and fork!

Make fun of your elders, and you can say hello to Brady and Bellichick in hell yourself!

I was at the same place having wings at the bar and guy comes in and sits next to me with his wife. He orders them hot. I tell him the medium are really pretty hot.  They advise that hot is VERY HOT. He says that’s why God invented beer. They come out with a dry rub instead of sauce. New ballgame.  During the first wing I turn and ask “so, how are they?” “Fine”, he says. A minute later he says “the heat builds”, then orders another beer. By the third wing he’s on his third beer, his nose is running and tears are running down his face. He’s mopping sweat from his forehead. But he’s too manly to quit. It was great fun watching him try to finish “I dare you wings”. I don’t do “I dare you” food.

And I don’t care if he was a priest, you need to show them both how to eat a wing!!! (Free food for you, and you make the world a better place.) Heck, they probably had Ranch dressing.....:(
