I think I need to lay off this game from a betting perspective. Moneyline +320 looks like (Bovada not posted yet) , but i think Bills are in tough this week. Finally won a moneyline bet last week with the Bills.

The two i like are San Fran +270 and Rams +300.

Can you explain the Moneyline to me. What exactly are you wagering? Never mind. I googled it.

Moneyline ignores the spread. You are picking the winner. +270 means if you bet $100 and that team wins, you get your bet back + $270. If a team is -160 you need to bet $160 to win $100.

The Bills defense has been top-10 in the NFL against both the pass and run. The problem for the Bills is that Atlanta has been almost as stingy against the run as our own defense, allowing only 85.0 YPG. Much like the Denver game, I think the Bills must be at least +1 if not +2 in the turnover battle to win this one on the road. Let's not forget that Denver was better passing and better running the football on Sunday. The only difference in that game was really turnovers. They had 94 more yards of offense and 5 more first downs.

I'd be interested in knowing what percentage of their yards were gained in the first half vs. the second.

Not to be dismissed is the Bills playing a QB that can hit the broad side of the barn and who often takes deep shots. Bills were fortunate that Carolina only walked away with FGs in their multiple trips deep inside the red zone. Not going out on a limb by saying the DBs can't let any one behind them. If Falcons have to score, force them to go through the D.

Easier said than done, of course.

I'm happy we get our 2 road NFC games out of the way early. I expect us to be playing our best ball in December when the games really count.

Early games count (almost) as much as late games. The importance of a W or L has more of an impact at the end of the season when struggling for the WC.

For example in about 4 weeks - Tampa @ Buffalo Oct 22. Could be the temperature might still factor in. It used to be the Bucs were win less when the temp was under 32

they remained winless all-time in games played when the temperature was less than 32 °F

From their inception, Tampa Bay lost 20 consecutive games in which the temperature at kickoff was below 40 °F (4 °C). The streak ended in the final week of the 2002 regular season, when they beat the Bears at Champaign (Soldier Field was under renovation at the time).

Cinci Tampa and Oakland are there for the taking once we get past ATL

Did you see what the Iggles did with 7 seconds?

which is why I added the caveat that "I think it could be done", but it requires all systems to operate at optimum speed, meaning players, ball placement by officials, getting play called, etc....and to "assume" that would happen would benefit the team who did nothing wrong other than stop the player short of the goal line and then the officials decided to replay the score (or i guess now all scores are replayed)....again, it sucks, but I understand why the rule is there....this just happens to fall into that narrow .01% of incidents where the rule applied really doesn't apply and in fact hurts the competition of the game

@DOrlandoAJC

A quick look at the 2-1 Buffalo #Bills who'll face the #Falcons on Sunday.

https://www.myajc.com/sports/football/quick-look-the-buffalo-bills/CPru2HiFhFFwH5ozIbAY6H/

FLOWERY BRANCH — For some reason, Sean McDermott, who was Carolina’s defensive coordinator, elected to cover Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones with a single player last season.

Man-to-man against the league’s top receiver is super aggressive and not highly advised.

That didn’t end well for McDermott and the Panthers defense. Jones ravaged the scheme catching 12 passes for a team-record 300 yards and a touchdown in the 48-33 plastering of the Panthers on Oct. 2

Because of the Panthers overall body of work on defense and clearly not that game, McDermott was hired to lead the Buffalo Bills, who will face the Falcons at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

@Sportsnet

Will the #Falcons and #Chiefs stay perfect after Week 4?

Just two undefeated teams remain in the NFL entering Week 4 of the season, including the Atlanta Falcons, who will take on the Buffalo Bills this week as 8-point home favourites on the NFL odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The defending NFC champions improved to 3-0 after hanging on for a 30-26 win in Detroit as 3-point chalk to improve to 9-1 straight up in their past 10 games going into Sunday afternoon’s Bills vs. Falcons betting matchup at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

The Falcons’ offence has racked up an average of 388 total yards and 29 points per game through Week 3. Atlanta has also averaged 35.8 points per game during an 8-3 SU run at home, with the OVER going 11-0 during that stretch.

The Bills improved to 2-1 with last week’s 26-16 upset victory over Denver, and have built their early success on a stingy defence that has surrendered an NFL-best 12.3 points per game.

Buffalo has struggled on the road, going 1-5 SU and 1-3-2 ATS in their past six, tallying 16 or fewer points in three of its past four, and is 0-4 SU and ATS in Atlanta since its last win there in 1995.

Take the bills and the points. All the money in Vegas from casual betters will go on the Falcons. Line will move down to 6 after the pro gamblers go on the Bills.

Falcons @ home will be huge test for our D , If we can keep this game close with a chance to win at the end , I would be extremely happy with that ,

I just hope our young secondary doesn't get lit up ,

If will run the ball well and keep chains moving and keep our D fresh we might have a chance ,

Let's GO Buffalo !!!!

I will be in and out. I land at 9:30 and am going to take Marta in and then back to the airport. I have to go to Dallas for work for the next few weeks so I slid an Atlanta stop on the trip. My buddy works for the Falcons so he gave me some tickets. This plan can together QUICKLY.

That is a quick in and out! Glad you could squeeze it in. One son will go straight from the airport to fly back to Nashville, but at least he comes in late Saturday.

I think people are giving the Falcons way to much credit. I get that they made the super bowl last year. I also get that their best player is not going to be 100% and their defense really isn't that good. If we are just going off of this year our D matches up against anybody, home or away. Bills fans are also way too down on our Offense and Tyrod. He is a middle of the pack QB when all is said and done. I think Mccoy is going to have a huge bounce back game especially in the passing game.

I may be a little crazy but I feel with our D this is a toss up game.

Sometimes those are the best plans. My best friend from high school lives in ATL and is a Falcons STH. He invited me to the game. Unfortunately, I have to be in LA for work and couldn't make it. Fortunately, I have some family in SoCal, so my brother in law and I will be at the Bills Backers Joint in Santa Monica bright and early Sunday morning for a 10am kickoff.

What a crazy schedule for the Falcons: Play three straight nfc north, then all four afc east teams, then finally a divisional game. They have a really tough schedule.

Yes, it is a strange schedule! I think we'll know a lot more about the Bills by week 7, given the Division's play vs Atlanta.

Just saw on 6 oclock sports that the falcons give up 4.8 yards per rush. Pound the rock. Control the clock. Keep Matt Ryan on the sidelines. Bills win by 9.

Yes. Their Rush Defense standing is misleading. Opponents give up running by the 3rd quarter to try to out score them.
