Truth is Jerry Rice couldn't have made that catch. It was a crap throw from TT, as we gave come to expect. Our defense gave us chance after chance and our QB laid another egg. When a team stops our running game, we can't score. Most road games, we can't score. You shut down Shady and force TT to throw into small windows to his WRs........the pass coverage was pretty damn good by Carolina this afternoon. It is what it is. TT may play in a few more games but I think eventually we'll see Peterman for the second half of the year. I say start Peterman next week, if he does great the rest of the year, worst case we found a good backup, if he sucks the whole year, we have high draft pick to get our franchise QB. LABILLBACKER Posted September 17, 2017 Share Posted September 17, 2017 I concur fully, but I knew that going in, and knew Taylor was our best option in this transition year. BUT Taylor just is not clutch enough.. He can make some plays but that throw to Jones sums it up. Taylor saw the route Jones was running and still threw it inaccurately Taylor was not rushed on the throw either, so IMO he just choked. Taylor is our stop gap and will win us enough games to keep us out of a top 5 pick, maybe even a top 10 (that might hurt us trying to move up to 1) .. I knew we would be depending on a stout running game and our D all season, but our running game was pretty bad today as well. Might of been different if Cordy was back, or if Taylor was having a better game. The good news is Indy might end up with the 1st pick and they have a QB so our 2 1st rd picks are looking real good for us in a trade up scenario Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

There's going to be a lot of good quarterbacks coming out this April so we may not have to move up in the draft. Even just pre snap...it's amazing when these good QBs drop back, you just expect it to be a completed pass or a drop on a good throw. Whatever it is with Tyrod is so far from that...it's not really funny and it's really frustrating. The guy has no clue. They look like they are in total control and know exactly what they are looking at and what they want to do. Thats what Rex thought of his hand picked QB after he experienced him for 2 full seasons. Where do you think we will be picking? tbh, i think this team can win 6 games, id prefer them to win far less. anything over 6 and we might not be able to get in on the QB sweepstakes. think we will be in the 6-10 range picking yet again.... Just remembering how expensive it was for the Luck/RG3 draft. and we're assuming that Darnold comes out. Sixish QBs that people are talking up, one coming from a sub par program, 2 more in subpar offenses, (air raid/spread). If u want the pro style QBs (Rosen/Darnold) its gonna cost ya.
