DefenseWins
Way too much talent to tank. We had an elite defense 3 years ago and were close to being special. We still have that D Line, and shady. Tanking is severely overrated... look how good luck and the colts are. They have nothing but a QB. And suck We have pretty much everything but a QB and are close Really? If Glenn doesn't recover from his foot problems quickly and stay that way throughout the season our OL is gonna suck bigtime... We have a brand new secondary with a rookie CB back there... We have a TE with a bum knee... And with the possible exception of Matthews, our WR corp could be downright awful (Zay Jones is still a rookie remember)... I'd hardly call that "having pretty much everything... Oh, and don't forget a HC who is a rookie as well... Yeah, Right...

KellyToughII
A better analogy is McBean is the bulldozer and the Bills are the old house. Instead of bulldozing half the house, they need to bulldoze it all and light a match to the remaining wood. Stop bs'ing around and go for 1-15. I am down with that

BringBackOrton
Yes. We. Do. Kyle, Hughes, Dareus, and a young Lawson for an old Mario. Lawson sucks. Kyle is 3 years older. Dareus hasn't played at a high level consistently like he did in 2014, neither has Hughes. Mario wasn't "old" in 2014. He was 1st team All-Pro and had 14+ sacks. He was our best player on that line. We don't have him.

Bleeding Bills Blue
Yes we really are that bad snd this year will show that. The talent on this team is way over rated by alot of fans. Have to agree with you there. Everyone claiming sammy is a top 10 receiver... Potentially sure... but tbh hes probably on the fringe of top 25... And what defense were the three other guys playing in the last two seasons? A modified 3-4. And what are they playing in this year? That's right, the one they played in 2014. Yep. It's the Bills way over the drought. New regimes we bring in don't build on what the past regimes did well. They stubboringly do it their way. They don't fit their scheme to the talent available, they get rid of talented players and bring in guys who ONLY fit what they want to do. What did Dennison say earlier in the offseason? He doesn't care what our offense was doing before he got here. Brilliant. Is that why Vlad Ducasse is starting coach? Run game has looked good so far in preseason. and like last year we need to pass block better.
PolishDave
Here me out. Rex was building the bully. In your face, brawn. Beat you up while telling you that you are about to get beat up. My favorite coach asked us before what we want to play like. A lot of people said like a rock. Solid, strong and sturdy. But he said No! I want you to play like water! You see, in the battle of the river and the rock, the river always wins... because it just keeps going. The Bills right now are like water. Just ebbing and flowing waiting to develop their identity. Which will be to never give up. Play 100% until the final whistle. And that DOES win football games Hopefully the bills play like that river WTF? Water does't beat rock. Paper beats rock. CountDorkula
2 firsts, 2 seconds, 2 thirds in next years draft. They don't need to tank to get #1 overall. Finish 8-8 and grab your QB. Minus the fact that it take two to tango and teh Jets nor 49ers will trade out. If this team goes 8-8 and wins meaningless games while the Jets and 49ers take one bad year and get their franchise QB's i'll be pissed. 50% of all starting QB's are drafted top 5. You can either waste all that draft capital that you acquired to move up, or rebuild one season draft your top QB in the top 3 and have all that additional draft capital. It is an exaggeration, however, to say the D line is different when 3 of 4 players are the same and back into the same scheme as 2014. I think Lawson is going to be good. Buffalo716
The point of playing like a river is that rivers do not stop flowing... They keep going, they keep grinding away at the obstacle. It doesn't stop when it gets tough. Football is won by the team with the most heart. Which team will play til the last whistle without stopping. Brady proved that last SB by never giving up
