/dev/null
So I'm sitting here watching TV and see a former Governor of California is in a commercial for some Pay2Win game. And it got me wondering. What will Obama's post-Presidency be like. I'm thinking talk show, a future run for Senate, and lobbying for repeal of the 22nd Amendment
DC Tom
So I'm sitting here watching TV and see a former Governor of California is in a commercial for some Pay2Win game. And it got me wondering. What will Obama's post-Presidency be like. I'm thinking talk show, a future run for Senate, and lobbying for repeal of the 22nd Amendment I'm thinking he'll remain a public figure, and support or criticize (depending on party affiliation) the sitting president, contrary to the usual informal agreement. He's too enamored with the trappings of power to really step too far away from it.
drinkTHEkoolaid
Golf. Lots of golf. He is too arrogant and full of himself to just go away. I don't like Bill Clinton and not super thrilled with W bush, but at least they more or less followed the examples of previous presidents and mostly stayed in private or occassionaly made some charity appearance. No way Obama does. He still thinks he is a celebrity and bigger than his office. He isn't going to fade into the background like his "predecessor". He still builds homes with "Habitat for Humanity," which I think deserves a significant amount of praise. Today's SoProg does little more than 'say' we should give things to people. He's puts in the elbow grease, and you have to appreciate what it must be like to donate time to build shelter for someone, and have Carter manning the circular saw at the job site. B-Man
REPORT: Barack Obama’s close confidante Valerie Jarrett has moved into his new DC home, which is now the nerve center for their plan to mastermind the insurgency against President Trump. The former president has set up an office on the West End of the national’s capitol, where he recently hosted an open house for his White House staff – including Joe Biden, Susan Rice, Josh Earnest and Jarrett. But the office, part of his post presidency perks, cannot be used for political purposes. The rent on his home is paid by him personally. On Tuesday, former Attorney General Eric Holder revealed that Obama is indeed getting closer to making his public reappearance in politics. ‘It’s coming. He’s coming,’ Holder said speaking to reporters. ‘And he’s ready to roll.’ According to the family source, Obama was at first reluctant to assume the role of leader of the opposition. He will continue to sadly encourage the people in my life who waste time on political thought going nowhere, when they would be better off studying their behinds off at University and pulling themselves out of their tough upbringing through real personal achievement and getting a job. grinreaper
What’s Up? Obama is Meeting with Deep-Pocketed Donors, Warren Buffet, Tech Leaders… organizing...............for what exactly ? From your link: What is Barry up to? David Solway this week answered that question here at PJ Media: He has thrown himself fully into Alinsky-style “community organizing,” stirring up resistance to the Trump administration in every way conceivable: installing, according to the New York Post, a “shadow government,” dubbed Organizing for Action, comprising more than 30,000 agitators and 250 chapters across the U.S., in order “to sabotage the incoming administration”; renting a dwelling and setting up command headquarters around the corner from the White House; cooking up the Russian hacking fable; and most recently, allegedly wiretapping Trump Tower, which seems disturbingly probable following the salient remarks of Ret. Army Intelligence Officer Tony Shaffer on Fox and the revelations from Breitbart News. Mark Levin’s accusation that Obama is orchestrating a “silent coup” against Trump rings true. There have even been reports in recent days that people across the country are receiving robocalls from Obama and Hillary Clinton raising money to "Resist Trump." Actor Scott Baio was among the first to report large numbers of Twitter users claiming to have received the robotic phone calls, which were reportedly seeking to raise money for Democrats hoping to block President Trump’s new executive order on immigration, also referred to as the travel ban, and to hamper Republican efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare.
