So the Bills just posted this on Facebook. Rumor had it that he was in Baltimore. Guess not.

actually, the rumor earlier today was that he was in Buffalo but some Baltimore beat writer said he was in Baltimore.

If you go on buffalobills.com chris brown posted a picture of Anderson outside the same restaurant Williams was at. Either Wanny is in love with that restaurant or there really aren't any fancy restaurants in Buffalo.

There aren't. Lots of great food, but little in the way if fancy places.

If Anderson wants to show the Pats they made a mistake, no better place than to sign with the Bills.

As long as we don't break the bank for this guy I'm all for it. I don't think there's any doubt that Anderson has the skill set and size to be a pass rushing specialist. But I really don't like the numbers he has put up in seasons other than lat year and his rookie year.

This is a strange development for sure. Nix said he was done with FA, obviously that was a smokescreen. I also find it odd that he would fill a spot that we already addressed. Yes, he would be a major improvement over Kelsay, but I would think WLB is more of a priority. Whatever, I like it. At the least it adds some depth for our pass rush.

WLB is Barnett's spot, and he is a great fit for it....Wanstauche's d is all about the front 4...lb's need to be good, don't need to be pro bowlers

Sorry, meant strong side. Not a huge fan of the idea of Kirk Morrison there.

Bills would be loaded on the defensive line. Get it done OBD....please.

Didn't read through this whole thread, but it seems NE, Bal, Tenn, and Mia are all interested. Don't let him out of the building again!

Also, I would've liked to see Wimbley brought in, but can't question Buddy or Stache in what they want for this D. Anderson will come much cheaper, so give him an offer he can't refuse.

Where Does Kelsay go if we sign this guy?

#Bills need depth on d-line to field a #Giants-style NASCAR rush in new 4-3 defense. Anderson, Kelsay, Carrington, Williams fit the bill

I think we've seen an interesting point made. I don't think anyone here would contend that we have an elite LB or CB corps. Oh Barnett was a steal and I'm happy to have him, but the D-line seems to be the place where we are trying to minmax everything. The general idea seems to be that if we pressure the line enough, our opponents are going to have to pull TE's or WR's to block for their pass schemes, which reduces the pressure on our CB and LB corps and stops people from running straight up the middle like they did last year.

If they can pull this off, using K. Williams and Dareus in the middle with backup from Carrington with M. Williams and a rotation of Kelsay, Anderson and Merriman I think we can have quite a defensive front.

We have a winner!!!

Wannstache used the DL rotation philosophy very successfully back when he was DC for the Cowboys....It works when you have both talent and depth à la 90's Cowboys' and recent Giants' teams

Ha. After the first Cowboys spanking, Levy became a disciple of the rotating DL theory. So they went out and signed Odell Haggins. Nice job. Too bad it took them 7 years to realize that no matter what kind of rotation you have, Jeff Wright was not the guy for the nose in a 3-4.

So, again kids. It's not a scheme if you don't have the horses to run it.

don't sell the linebackers and secondary short. There is some real talent there.

Oh, and that worked out so well for us.

Nix promised to negotiate an extension that would "take care of" him. He has cred on the line.

Relax. Nix categorically stated on WGR that we will sign him to an extension BEFORE camp. Listen to his interview there.

I like our secondary, but our LBs could use an upgrade. Need one more stud....like daMeco Ryans.

You like McKelvin? You think McGee can make it through a season? Lock down corners with our safeties and pass rush will cause a huge issue for Offenses.

You do know that Wanny does not blitz LBs - right? All they have to do is stop the run (Sheppard will be beast), handle TE coverage and make tackles. Our LBs only need to cover the TE and RB for a short time. Yeah the base D is 43, but I can guarantee that more than half the game will be in nickle and dime coverages.

We could use another LB for depth. There is no LB in this draft that will supplant one of our 3 starters, that equals a waste of #10 and #41.

I disagree completely. I think kuechly, Hightower, Zach brown and lavonte David can come in and start over Morrison immediately if not after a few weeks. Ronnell Lewis, Travis Lewis and a few others might be upgrades as well. But not at 10 I don't view Ingram, upshaw, mercilus, perry, branch to be OLBs on our scheme.

If there is a player (LB, S) who can cover Gronk, I'd take him at 10.

LOL! F5 haha!

I know Buddy said he wanted to be done by last Friday but he also had a quote about how they would be patient with free agency and could find some value like they did with Nick (it will be told that he will be the real saviour of the Bills) Barnett last year. This screams like the perfect deal, you get quality depth a bit later in FA.

Not to mention how awesome it would be to scoop a real producer from NE. There have been very few weeks in the past 18 years that a Bills fan could walk around like they owned the joint. I love this!

Git 'er done Buddy!!

I would too!!

Morrison was not a bad player when he was on the Raiders; I don't understand the hate. He wasn't great last season for us as he never played and in 2010 no one was good on the Jags. This DL will make our LBs look a lot better.

In with anderson and OUT with kelsay.....get er' done buffalo

I doubt it. IMHO Merriman and MAnderson will see situational duty rushing the passer whereas MWilliams, Carrington and Kelsay will see the majority of snaps. The odd ones out may well be Dwan Edwards and Spencer Johnson.
