  1. I can most certainly send it...just let me know the best place to send it
  2. No, I don't trust him...I was really just being facetious. I just want him to step down, or be demoted...the fish rots from the head down.
  3. Dear Russ Brandon, You have been in the Bills organization since 1996. Since that time, you have gone from marketing guru to President. As I'm sure you are well aware, we haven't made the playoffs since 1999. On behalf of the Bills fanbase, please hire a staff that can use innovation in the new NFL. Over the past 15 years, we have lost with the same boring conservative decisions. This year, we have a defense that is playoff worthy, however our offense/coaching has been subpar. This is unfair to the guys that pour their hearts out on that defense. You must feel for Kyle Williams, who has been here for most of this pathetic ride. If you don't feel that a change in coach is necessary, please go back and watch Marrone's opening press conference. He stated that we would be innovative...where is the innovation?? If that doesn't change your mind, then maybe it's time for you to take a step back. You can not accept the play not to lose philosophy, you must embrace the play to win mantra. You can't be conservative when you don't have a top level qb. For sure, you must know this. If any of this is a revelation, than it may be time for you to move one. Thank you for your time with the organization. Sincerely, Bills Fans
  4. I did say "IF', because I did not see you state that....and i'm not implying that Andy was a bad or even avg player, but what I am saying is that it is easier to find a good replacement at G than say a T, or obviously a QB. BTW, according to some metrics at PFF (don't have time to find link at the moment), Levitre was a very good pass blocker and slightly above avg run blocker.
  5. if you believe that you don't need top QB play to succeed in today's NFL, then I'm afraid the game has passed you by. And while there is some merit to the point that you need to be creative in game plan, you can't use a statistical outlier to prove a point. Maybe a little off topic, but after reading this post it occurred to me that this shows an example of how there is a divide among fans in the traditional theories off old school football vs the new wave of stats based theories. I find the discussions fascinating. To return back to the OP's question, there def are some questions heading into training camp about the O-Line. At this point though, I wouldn't be overly concerned about how that unit will perform. A LG can easily be replaced, and OL can be one of the biggest benefactors of 'coaching up'.
  6. I think that the team has been given a 'gag order' when it comes to explaining scheme. Every time I hear an interview, it's filled with vague clichés and awkward pauses. Dareus was on 1270 yest and couldn't really say much about the d when asked either.
  7. Absolutely fantastic post...this article has just encouraged me to find some good books on the evolution of defenses in the NFL....if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know
  8. Almost every QB prospect ever drafted has holes in their game that need to be either corrected or coached up. Luck and RGIII aside, there are no can't miss prospects at the position. Geno's the best guy this year, so I'm all for going to get him because I also don't think he will be there at 8. Also wanted to post this article from today: http://www.optimumscouting.com/scout-s-notes/articles/2013-nfl-draft-geno-smith-atop-quarterback-rankings-hoping-to-follow-in-matt-ryan-s-footsteps.html
  9. Drew Brees, Matt Ryan.....not elite arms....would you take one of those guys? You don't have to answer, it's rhetorical and obvious. My point was that there are different types of QB's and Barkley's 40 time should not be a reason for not drafting him. I'm not lobbying for him to be the pick, I'm just stating fact.
  10. Who cares what Barkley's 40 time is. Running the football is not his style of play, he's a pocket QB that has good pocket awareness and can slide to buy time. Do you think Manning or Brady can outrun most defenders? No, and they don't need to. BTW, Barkley's negative rushing numbers are misleading (as are all rushing numbers for QB's in college) because the NCAA counts sack yardage as rushing yards, and he doesn't run all that much anyway. I honestly didn't like him, but am slowly coming around after watching his games from 2011 and 2012 over the weekend. Just my opinion. Glad we didn't overpay for Alex Smith.
  11. I wasn't a fan of selecting Barkley until I had some time to watch his 2011 and 2012 seasons over the weekend. While he doesn't have a great arm! He does a great job of going through his reads and has great pocket presence. He reminds me a lot of Matt Ryan. At 8, I would be fine with Barkley or Smith.
  12. That's not the choice...Fitz costs the same whether he stays or is cut, unless he agrees to renegotiate his deal. i can't understand why people automatically blame the FO if Levitre decides to leave. He's a FA, if he chooses to test the market, how is it the organization's fault? I'm certainly not going to blame them for not wanting to pay a guard 9mil a season.
  13. Good attempt at a mock, Flea....only question I have is Floyd (I don't think he makes it out of the top 5. Jax looks like a great spot for him, or even Oak now that Seymour is gone, Despite the reports that they like Geno. As for our pick, I wouldn't mind taking Ansah if Jordan is off the board. I'm even warming up to Patterson, but both guys are a little bit of a projection considering their limited experience.
  14. Option 1 or 3 in this scenario Also wouldn't mind this scenario, although i am not the biggest Barkley fan....Really like Hunter and Reed though
  15. I would be for an experienced corner opposite Gilmore. Gamble would be a good start. I just started a post about an article I saw this morning by PFF, and they liked Greg Toler as a bargain CB
