. He has trouble getting separation. Great hands, good routes, lacks the burst to get away, minus the play vs the gmen.

I did not see one reason why Donald Jones should have been picked over some of the other guys.....Ruvel Martin shouldn't even be on the team.

I am going to throw up my breakfast if Aiken comes in and tears it up after a 3 game losing streak. Kamar Aiken looked awesome in camp.

Reminds me of Cruz from The Giants...... during camp I looked up him the kids looked awesome.....but we always hope for the best

Nothing personal JfH, but I sincerely hope you end up throwing up your breakfast every week until the end of the season!;)

Who is this other guy Hagen?

Except that Fitz only throws to him 12 times. Naaman catches 98% of what's thrown to him. Did you see the pop he took vs Miami...and STILL made the catch? The kid is velcro.

I am an Arizona State guy, and am pretty familiar with Hagan.

He spent the last couple years with the Giants (my TV market) and filled in quite well when they had a bunch of injuries. He also did a solid job on special teams.

I was going to come on here and advocate signing him and dumping Ruvell Martin after the Raiders released Hagan. Now that the injuries have hit, they need both. The Raiders apparently dumped him because Hue Jackson never wanted him but Crazy Dead Al forced Hagan on him. Not the way to make a team.

Going back further, Derek was a stud at ASU. He piled up huge numbers and looked like a surefire 1st rounder...then, he went to the Senior Bowl and dropped everything thrown to him. I was stunned at the time; he always had good hands with ASU. He is big, he fights for the ball, and he runs well after the catch. Miami still liked him enough to use a 2nd on him, but he continued to have too many drops there and they dumped him. Like I said, he did pretty well with the Giants. I was surprised they didn't re-sign him after losing Steve Smith.

I like the guy, but don't expect much unless there are even more injuries. I'd guess he will prevent us from ever seeing Martin on offense, but he'll still be behind Roosevelt and Aiken.

I completely agree. I hope he proves to be as good as I thought him to be in pre-season.

IWas he an outside or slot guy for the giants?
A WR with great hands will be a welcome addition.
I was talking about naaman. I like Aiken a lot. I'm surprised it took them this long to get him on the roster.
He will be a play maker, I have wanted him to get a shot at #2. I think he's really that good.
me too. Let's hope he can produce now

Should fit right in with this offense...

That pop should have been a penalty. Helmet to helmet. My question with Naaman is why does he get so few opportunities? He looks pretty beefy for a WR, and he has great hands. Doesn't get separation is one suggestion. He may also be the third option in many of the plays, and Fitz doesn't often have time to look for the third option. I assume he will get more opportunities in the next few games with Jones out. I hope they don't try to use Smith as a WR. He also doesn't get separation, and he has stone hands. Same with Martin. Let's use Naaman more, and see what Kamar can do. I am kind of psyched to see these guys step up in the next few games. I also hope that Johnny White gets some action soon. Can't hurt. Let's see what he can do!

Compared to Donald "Hands of Stone" Jones who dropped 98% of his passes.

I have no clue what Boss Hogg & Cooter saw in Jones to make him the #2 WR? IMO, Jones is a good special teams player, but that's it. Aiken should have been a starter since Week 1, I'm glad to see him finally get his shot.

I can't say for certain; I tend to watch very casually when it isn't the Bills. My recollection is that he made plays on the outside, but I don't know that that's where he lined up. I do know he was an outside guy at ASU; he reminded me a lot of Moulds. They often would just heave it in his direction and hope he made a play, and often he did.

I would expect that he will be chasing kick returners more than anything else; I don't think I am going too far on a limb here, but I'd bet on mostly 3-wide sets with Johnson, Nelson, and Roosevelt plus Chandler at TE. These are the guys who earned it. Everyone else is depth.

He was very good in preseason right next to Easley. He caught a couple of bombs down the field, took a couple of licks and got back up. I felt that he was able to contribute right away but, was shocked when he didn't make the 53.

John, you just have to learn to completely trust the evaluations of the professionals employed by the Bills. 0:)

I watched quite a bit of Aiken in college following a friend's kid who played for Memphis. I'm a fan from what I saw, and I was delighted he fell to the Bills as he was one of the best receivers in the draft. Super strong, great hands.

UCF, and Aiken especially, saw a lot of press coverage and he often beat it.

i like this guy

We saw some glimpses of this kid in camp and pre season...looked really good!!

Here is some scouting reports I found:

Smooth athlete with good size who can turn and run on defense. Has above average hands and can make plays offensively. Plays for a talent-laden high school program and should be able to fit in nicely on either side of the ball at the college level.

Looks every bit the part with a rocked-up, shredded physique (broke Brandon Marshall’s strength records). Good body control. Plays big — attacks the ball and works the middle of the field. Exceptional leaping ability. Strong on contact and can rip through tackles. Physical blocker.

Explosive receiver who stretches the field and can take it the distance. Quickly releases off the line, displays a burst of speed, and can turn it on in a single step. Sells all his moves, adjusts to the errant throw, and looks the ball into his hands. Possesses effective eye/hand coordination. Plays with body control, makes difficult over-the-shoulder catches. Consistently gets downfield behind defenders and plays faster than his forty time. Gets vertical and fights to make the difficult catch. Elusive, gets separation from defenders, and uses his frame to shield away opponents. Quickly gets into breaks and runs sharp routes.

I particularly like the comments about getting separation and being physical/strong. Leads me to believe he'll be able to fight the jam and get off the line. I liked the kid in preseason and am a fan. He may turn out to be our most physical WR...let's wait and see...

IS IT SO FREAKING HARD FOR THE BILLS TO MAKE A LOGICAL ROSTER MOVE FOR ONCE IN THERE PATHETIC LIVES AND SIGN A FREAKING CENTER AFTER THE DEBACLE LAST WEEK?????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It begs the questions:

If Urbik is a better C, why didn't he play there last week?

How useless is Brown Colin, if he can't be relied upon at all?
