  1. For the most part, I agree...BUT, he's got a point about QB's. The $$ that is thrown around at that position (Romo, Flacco, Tannefriggnhill, etc.) is ridiculous.
  2. I'm willing to bet that taking off the proverbial "handcuffs," is going to let a whole lot of talent shine through. I see it in him, at times...could be nasty!
  3. Yeah, a bit overzealous...but the point is, spend some money and use FA the way it should be. Build your core through the draft and supplement the roster with FA. No more of these "value picks" or guys that "could start" if they didn't have someone better in front of them.
  4. Welcome to the 3rd annual offseason "move Glenn to OG" post...in disguise. No BRILLIANT...FOOLISH! Sign Boling and Iupati, regardless of price tag. Can't say it enough, the game is won at the line! Cut ties with Spiller, then go out and get whomever Dallas can't afford between Murray and Bryant. If it's Bryant, go after Ingram for RB. If it's Murray, go after the best available WR to put opposite of Sammy...you're looking at an awesome crop of UFA WR this year. Now, we don't have to sit around and wait for Spiller to "break out." Our OL if solid and you have another stud WR across from SW. I think Cutler will end up being available...I know, but still a good stop gap...and draft a mid level QB with some size and a chip on his shoulder. Easy...right!?
  5. Bills mafia is everywheeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrreeeeeeee!!
  6. This IS a site of pure speculation and fan opinion, is it not?
  7. OK, so this is purely speculative and I have done ZERO research, but it’s MHO. Marrone knew exactly what he was doing when signing on with the Bills. An owner with one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel (no disrespect Mr. Wilson). An “opt out” clause in a coaching contract…He obviously used the Bills as a platform to break into the NFL. Congratulations Doug! I hope you get the job in NY and we see you twice a year for the next 2-3 years and shove a fat sh*t burger down your throat (assuming the bad-mouthing rumors are true). Anyway, good riddance…and take your pop warner OC with you. I’d bet my left nut that the boiling point had something to do with the benching of EJ. And I think Marrone made the call in spite of the direction of Whaley. Hire Cowher, who’ll bring back Gailey to run the O, and try and keep Schwartz around to run the D. And please hire a ST Coach that’s allowed to eat his meals with a fork. Spiller is up for a new contract…let him walk! He’s not the answer, obviously! IMHO, he’s done nothing to earn consideration for an extension. Freddy J seems to have another year, maybe two, left in him. I like Boobie and there will be plenty to consider in FA and the draft. Our WR corps needs help…I know, not a popular opinion…but Woods came on strong the last half of the year and Hogan makes some nice plays, but Easley is way underutilized. Watkins is special, and will be one of the greats! One more addition and we’re set. Spend some money in Fa draft as many OG’s as possible! See points 3 & 4 regarding FA. Not sure, but I think Dallas is going to have to let one of their 2 stars walk, considering the Romo contract. I don’t care which one it is, throw a bunch of money at Bryant or Murray and spend all other resources on the O-line and find a couple gems @ RB and CB in the draft. Brandon Spikes was the best stop gap signing in the history of the sport. Thanks bud, and good luck with your new team. Don’t get me wrong, I love the guy, but Brown is the same guy, only younger…and better. With Alonso coming back, Brown can slide into the highbred MLB role and, when necessary, come off the field on passing downs a la Spikes. Both guys have the same weakness in pass coverage and we can’t afford to have them both on the field at the same time If we lose out on Bryant or Murray, make a play for Suh, if he doesn’t return to Detroit. All his antics are taken out of the book of footballs past. He’s a nasty man with the skill to back it up. Sure, he needs to clean up some of the stupid, but I think he can do that without losing his edge.
  8. First, let me say I completely agree w/the OP. Hackett must go for this team to be in contention come December. Bare with me a minute, because it may seem I am arguing for Hack...it! It's football 101...you must run the ball; you must show a willingness to run the ball even if it isn't working; you must wear down the other team by consistantly running the ball...as it showed later in the game when Dixon and Brown were popping off 3-5 YPA. BUT... You MUST know when to put it in the QB's hands and stick a dagger in the throat of the opposing team!!! You absolutlely CAN NOT make the most conservative of all calls immediately following a big play by your defense or ST... 1st INT, Gillmore runs it back to the Jets 33, backed up by a penalty to the Jets 48..1st play, HB dive for 1 yard. Posession - 3 & out. 2nd INT, Brown picks it off @ the 50. 1st play, HB dive for 3 yds. Posession - 3 & out. 3rd INT, Williams runs it back to the 1, bills run 1 play...a pass..TD Jets score...bills answer, it's 21-7 Vick scrambles and fumbles @ his own 26...1st play, HB dive for 1 yd. Possession - FG good, 24-7. Jets score, bills go 3 & out again, Jets get FG, 24-17 going into the half. Bills punt on 1st posession of 3rd, penalties, D stuffs them, Jets punt from own End Zone and McKelvin returns a short punt 27 yrds to the Jets 24. 1st play, HB dive for 4 yrds. Posession - FG, 27-17. A few punts later, Vick gets strip sacked, Bills recover @ the Jets 10. 1st play, HB dive for 1 yrd. Posession - FG, 30-17. Next Jets posession, INT # 4. Searcy returns it to NYJ 14. 1st play, HB dive for 4 yards. Posession - TD to Chandler, 34-17. Listen guys, that's only 23 points off of 6 turn overs, which ALL occured on the NYJ side of the field. Granted, the long ball is a low percentage play, but so is running up the middle when you have a weak interior OL up against a very strong DL. The total yards gained on the 1st play after the turnovers is 15 yards!! THAT IS AWFUL and IMHO, grounds for immediate termination.
  9. Probably one of the most mismanaged off-seasons I've ever seen...and we think we've seen some stinkers in Buffalo!? Name drop...Donte Whitner! Seriously?
  10. With the amount of money they had under the cap and their draft position, not to mention the # of picks, you're telling me thais past offseason in Cleveland wasn't a joke? And I'm a Browns fan... I understand that this post was before the awful showing against Jax yesterday, but c'mon bro, this thread is terrible!
  11. Long time, no posts, which I'm sure none of you care about. Anyway, as I see it, we still need a lot of improvement! I've compiled a top 3 list of fixes that need to be addressed immediately: 1.) Someone needs to take the green spiral notebook from Hacket, smack him in the face with it, and hand him an NFL playbook...ANY NFL playbook! I simply don't believe in firing coordinators this late in the season, it's counterproductive....unless you're 0-7, that is. 2.) Bring the two guys from the PS up to compete for a spot on a weak interior OL. No way these young kids can play any worse than Kouanjdo (sp), Richardson & Urbik. While your at it, take the guy who has started on this line before (Hairston) and plug him into the other OG spot. Glenn, Wood and Henderson are suffering from poor OG play as they are continuously "checking up" on their inferior teamates' responsibilities. 3.) Someone tell Schwartz that having the best run D in the league doesn't mean you can ignore that your defensive backfield is a mess. Here's an idea...use that awesome front 7 to generate more pressure on obvious passing downs to help those guys out! Stop it with the 3 man rush and drop everyone back in some BS umbrella D. Anyone else notice that when we rush more than 4 guys we ALLWAYS stuff the play...either a sack, stuffed dump pass, batted ball or a QB running for his life and throwing it to the sidelines...c'mon man, blitz the sh*t out of the rookie and watch him fold!!
  12. In town on temporary duty, are you still around? Do you still meet @ CJ's?
  13. sometimes I wonder what game people are watching. The JPP swat was NOT on Henderson. He handled JPP that play, JPP took a drop step when he realized he wasn't getting any push. EJ threw it right at him...EJ's fault. 2nd swat was on Urbik. Williams's near TD...tough to catch anything when the DB has your inside arm hooked. Am I alone in seeing how dominant Stefan Charles was? Dude was in the backfield every play.
  14. Hey man...this is Benji and Jenna Cowart. They are former Worship Pastors @ The Chapel in Getzville. Not sure where they are now, but they are WNY implants from Nashville and picked up on Bills mania pretty quickly. We're totally on the same page! My daughterS are 7 & 4, so I have some time as well, but I always joke with them about how daddy will start taking steroids and buying guns when they reach the teenage years. They really don't understand and they laugh with me, but they have no idea I am DEAD SERIOUS. Good find, this was hilarious! Favorite line "...not affraid of doing hard time..."
