  1. You just described Nate Geary. I cringe and turn the radio station whenever he comes on.
  2. There is the blue medical tent though... I am not insecure and I don't appreciate you implicating me like that in front of the others. I disagree about Brees being a System QB. He made the Pro Bowl in San Diego where his Head Coach was Marty Schottenheimer and his Offensive Coordinator was "the great" Cam Cameron. He lost his job because the Chargers drafted Philip Rivers. He made the Pro Bowl as a Charger and I recall being in the stadium when he surgically destroyed a Bills defense that featured Sam Adams, Takeo Spikes, London Fletcher, Nate Clements, Terrence McGee, Aaron Schobel, Lawyer Milloy, etc. In his prime Brees could sling the ball with accuracy in a way few QBs can. His ball placement was superb and his velocity transcended his stature. JMO.
  3. Nate Hackett's used to getting his ass kicked in this stadium.
  4. LOL more like BLOW IT in the playoffs if your kicker is Nate Kaeding. haha
  5. Yeah he reminded me of Nate honestly. Just cool calm demeanored dude that's loved by his teammates. He didn't have the year he wanted but his personality meshed right in that locker room fast
  6. Don’t worry. Sal, Nate Geary and Adam Schein are scrambling the SPIN copters as we speak.
  7. I am still all in on Donte Jackson. It is a great fit. But I am guessing his cost has to come down. He is coming off an injury, but I like his speed and fit. If they plan of drafting one early, I am not opposed to a vet like Peterson. In fact he gave a great interview on NFL network the other day. I never loved Joe Haden. Kyle Fuller is a great fit. Good zone corner who is very physical. He is coming off a bad year, but I think our defense accentuates his positives and he is only 30. Nate Hairston and Rasul Douglas were guys they showed a ton of interest in pre-draft. My #1 target would be Jackson, followed very closely by Kyle Fuller.
  8. Student killed himself after bullying about his vaccination status: lawsuit A 15-year-old boy who was initially targeted by a false rumor that he was unvaccinated was bullied relentlessly until he took his own life in January, a lawsuit claims. The suit filed Monday against the Latin School of Chicago alleges administrators at the private college prep school — which charges more than $40,000 annually in tuition — committed “willful failure” to stop the incessant bullying, the Chicago Tribune reported. The Cook County filing named the school, several employees and parents of the alleged bullies as defendants. The late teen, identified as N.B. in the suit, transferred to the school due to its in-person learning during the coronavirus pandemic, the complaint states. A student whose parents are named in the lawsuit then started spreading a rumor that the 10th-grader, Nate Bronstein, was unvaccinated, according to the lawsuit. https://nypost.com/2022/04/27/student-died-by-suicide-after-bullying-about-his-vaccination-status-suit?utm_source=nypost&utm_campaign=android_nyp The damage done to kids is incalculable.
  9. That raises a good question Butch Byrd-Booker Edgerson Robert James-Tony Greene (before he switched to safety) Mario Clark-Charles Romes Antoine Winfield-Nate Clements Seems like I'm missing one more pair. This. Any team that's willing to trade down is obviously going to shop that pick to as many teams as possible to maximize their compensation. It's more likely than not that there was at least one other team interested in pick 23.
  10. There are many scouting reports you can see that have him ranging from rounds 3 to 5. But I also grade my own and I know I am on outside looking in and do not have all the data these teams do. So there are many reasons he could go different from where I think. Like Cook. If he wasn’t a RB he would not get discounted from me. Things like that. But honestly if you do look at the round 2 thread I started saying his name. Sure Nate Tice had him as HIS 43rd overall player. Is one. another Source https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/players/2022/khalil-shakir
  11. on the order of buying in on the regular crew. Kyle was truly sold first and still honest in any due criticism. Nate would not buy in until the Bills “conquered” their demons Pats*. He was sold the next season with the victory over KC. Peter, claims to be sold, yet he picked the JETS to beat the Bills!!! Then gave them no shot late in the postseason. Kay is somewhere in the middle. She “loves Josh”. She doesn’t usually do those type segments and leans in o Fantasy Football She has worn Bungles jerseys enough to make it noticeable imo I don’t recall when she wore a Bills 👕 She ❤️the Playa, not team. Then there is the part time member of GMFB, Mike Rob. He’s been full on BillsMafia for 3-4 years now.
  12. Of the names listed, I'd like Jerry back. But I voted "other" for Wyatt Teller. And if there's some kind of secret medical technology out there that could restore an athlete to his prime, I'd want Bruce, Thurman, one of the Nates (Clements, Odomes) or maybe Butch Byrd. And Joe D, of course. And if the author of "OJ is Innocent and I Can Prove It" is right, and the secret tech exists, I'd piss in my pants with excitement seeing the Juice line up behind Josh Allen.
  13. On that note, they need to bring Mike Rob back. Nate being gone means they need a knowledgeable player with charisma back there. They have been sorely missing that for a long time.
  14. Who’s to say trading up in rd 2 isn’t a good possibility? Beane is as aggressive as any GM in the league trading up. 2021 corner draft picks drafted after pick 57- Nate Hall, Elijah Molden Paulson Adebo, Ambry Thomas, Demmodore Lenoir, Benjamin St Juste all played quality football at times last year. And whoever it is will be getting the ultimate support system with McD and Frazier + Hyde and Poyer backing them up. Their track record shows they don’t need 1st rd corners. They need traits. Traits can be had throughout the draft. Dane Jackson and Levi Wallace were our starting corners for almost half the year and we had the #1 pass d…..by FAR. Now we have Von Miller and will have Tre’davious back. yes, we need to add 2 outside able corners. That can be done without spending 25 on a corner. do you think these guys are good picks @ 25? Gordon McDuffie Elam Woolen if Booth or Dax Hill are there…..we should probably take them. Not so sure about the above guys. McDuffie would, but his short arms matter. They never have short armed boundary corners. Why would they start now (and use our first rd pick on a corner that doesn’t fit what they like?).
  15. For the first 25 of the last 30 years the Bills stunk because Ralph Wilson and his hand-picked successor, Russ Brandon, put maximizing profits ahead of winning football games. The Bills did not start prioritizing winning over maximizing profits until 2018 because Pegula kept Brandon in power after he purchased the team. It was only after Russ Brandon got the boot and Beane was given real GM power (including setting budgets for coaches, scouting, etc) did the Bills start putting winning ahead of profits. Once the salary cap was instituted in 1994, the Bills didn't give many of their first round draft picks second contracts not just RBs but also DBs whom they traded out with regularity. 1994 - Jeff Burris DB 1994-1998 1995 - Ruben Brown G 1995-2003 9 times Pro Bowler, 8 times with the Bills, 1 time with Bears 1996 - Eric Moulds WR 1996-2005 3 times Pro Bowler for Bills 1997 - Antowain Smith RB 1997-2000 won 2 SB rings with New England in 2001 and 2003 1998 - no first round pick 1999 - Antoine Winfield CB 1999-2003 3 times Pro Bowler for the Vikings 2000- Erik Flowers DE 2000-2001 2001 - Nate Clements DB 2001-2006 Pro Bowler for the Bills 2002 - Mike Williams OT 2002-2005 2003 - Willis McGahee RB 2003-2006 Pro Bowler with both Ravens and Broncos 2004 - Lee Evans WR 2004 -2010 2004 - JP Losman QB 2004-2008 2005 - no first round pick 2006 - Donte Whitner S 2006-2010 Pro Bowler for 49ers and Browns 2006 - John McCargo DT 2006-2010 2007 - Marshawn Lynch RB 2007-2010 Pro Bowler for Bills, 4 times Pro Bowler and 1 time All Pro for Seahawks won SB with Seahawks in 2014 2008 - Leotis McKelvin DB 2008-2015 2009 - Aaron Maybin DE 2009-2010 2009 - Eric Wood 0C 2009-2017 2010 - CJ Spiller RB 2010-2014 Pro Bowler for Bills 2011 - Marcell Dareus DT 2011-2017 2 time Pro Bowler, 1 time All Pro for Bills 2012 - Stephon Gilmore CB 2012-2016 1 time Pro Bowler for Bills, 3 times Pro Bowler and 2 time All Pro for Patriots, 1 time Pro Bowler for Panthers 2013 - EJ Manuel QB 2013-2016 2014 - Sammy Watkins WR 2014-2016 2015 - no first round pick 2016 - Shaq Lawson DE 2016-2019 2017 - Tre'Davious White 2017-present 2 times Pro Bowler for Bills Brown, Moulds, and Dareus were the only outstanding first round players at their positions that the Bills signed to second contracts until Beane re-signed Tre White. Brown, Winfield, McGahee, Whitner, Lynch, and Gilmore were all named to Pro Bowls after the Bills either released them, declined to re-sign them or traded them. Lynch and Gilmore were also named All Pros after leaving the Bills. Both also won Super Bowl rings as did Antowain Smith. Ruben Brown also played in a Super Bowl with Bears while the Bills didn't even play in the post season from 2000 until 2017. The Bills failed to draft particularly well in the first round for most of the last 30 years, and they compounded their problems by sending most of the best players they developed packing rather than paying them. For most of the 2000s, the Bills were irrelevant to the NFL except as a farm club for other teams. It wasn't drafting McGahee, Spiller and Lynch that caused that any more than it was drafting Winfield, Clements, Whitner and Gilmore. They were all good players. The Bills were a dysfunctional franchise for most of the last 30 years.
  16. I want to say the pass pro issues with Quessenberry could partially be attributed to the fact that Nate Davis was downright putrid at pass pro at the RG spot. Wonder if Saffold also had a bit to do with this signing.
  17. Game Pass has to be my favorite streaming service. Really worth the money, IMO. Anyway, I’ve been re-watching condensed versions of old games lately. It's the best way to get through this long gap in the off-season. Today, just out of curiosity, I re-watched the 2018 season opener at Baltimore, where the Ravens placed a 47-3 shellacking on the Bills in Josh Allen’s first NFL game. I laughed. I (would have) cried (were it not the beginning of a glorious era). And, I thought I would like to post a few of my observations of that game in, uh… no particular order… Tremaine Edmunds. (Why not start off with Tremaine Edmunds?) It was his first game of his career as well, and ya know what? For a raw, 19-year-old (!) rookie in his first start, he looked pretty damn good! He got a sack, had decent lines to the ball, and damned near got two interceptions. In fact, had it not been raining, I believe he would have hauled in at least one of those. Matt Milano. In the first of only a few instances where Milano did something noteworthy, the commentator referred to him as “the undersized Matt Milano…” That made me laugh. TOP and the Defense. One might think that a defense that allows another team to pin 47 points on them would be an unmitigated disaster. And they were bad, but they weren’t as bad as all that. I lost track of all the three-and-outs by the Bills offense in the first half, but suffice to say— there were a lot of them. Poor Bojo punted ten times. And for the defense, it’s hard to stay fresh when you don’t get more than a few minutes rest between drives. By the end of the game (a full third of which the Ravens played as garbage time, and the Bills, themselves, were actively running out the clock) the Ravens had the ball for over ten minutes longer than the Bills. Offense. What a crapshow. It’s not like there wasn’t some talent on that field, but you can really see the effects of a losing culture in a performance like that. Shady McCoy. By 2018, he had already lost a step, IMO. But, he still had great vision. Kelvin Benjimin. 🤮 The O-line. 🤮🤮🤮🤮🤮 Nathan Peterman. I remember very clearly being one of the posters on TBD who went into the season pounding the table that Peterman shouldn’t be in the league, much less starting in the season opener. He was straight-up terrible. But here’s the thing about Late Nate: He’s still in the league!!! He’s currently employed by the Chicago Bears! HOW??? WHY??? Josh Allen. I’m not just being a homer when I say this (the color commentator even made this point within a few plays of Allen taking the field) but when Josh Allen took over at QB, the entire energy of the offense changed. Even though there was zero chance of a comeback by that time, they just appeared willing to make plays, and put themselves out there. Josh did a bunch of Josh things— scrambling for a couple first downs, taking some hits, etc. He certainly had a fair share of rookie issues, and was sacked twice. But you know wasn’t an issue? Accuracy. In fact, especially considering the wind and rain, Allen threw some ropes. It was interesting watching this game in retrospect to where we are now. You can see the potential in Josh Allen. You can see the poisoned culture that McDermott was working to change— the lack of effort, the lack of focus, the lack of inspiration. And a few minutes into the third quarter when Allen takes the field, you can see the tide change in Buffalo.
  18. Jeff Burris was good player but Nate Clements was even better.
  19. Yes, but Rosen and Peterman are about as different as Goofus and Gallant from Highlights magazine, like teef has in his office. Oh wait, teef got rid of Highlights and replaced it with subscriptions to True Crime. 'Aaron Schobel: My Life in Stir!' 🤨 * "Josh Rosen insults organizations that didn't draft him. Nate Peterman washes dishes in the team training camp's kitchen after meals."
  20. Soooooo....Nate Peterman has a new team, but Josh Rosen is still a free agent? Huh.
  21. this. It appears she lost interest once the team was broken up (when Nate left for CBS). May be Kyle and Peter can pull it off like Mike & Mike did for over 15 years
  22. This post…wow. Something else. Yes Tua may improve but using comments from his coach and teammate in May OTA’’s means nothing. First off, did you expect them to day “Meh… Tua looked okay” Of course they are going to talk him up. Second, read how the Bills coaches and players talked about Nate Peterman in OTA’s in 2018…I rest my case
  23. If the guy that played at Alabama shows up, he could be good. Until I see it against a real D, I’ll reference Nate Peterman.
