  1. Ike played solid to end 2020 but up until the last game or so in 2021 he looked like a backup player out there. It always sucks to see someone get hurt esp such an underdog story like Ike. Hopefully he is able to recover and get his career back on track
  2. Bills just have to take care of the Falcons worry about the rest later.
  3. IF the Bills are to make a deep playoff run like the Giants in 07 and 11 then a few things have to come together in my opinion. 1- Win the division. I am not looking past a decent Falcons team and a Jets team that while not great is still an NFL team capable of an upset. Having a home playoff game to start things out is critical in the playoffs. 2- Hitting the right matchups. Football is one and done so the Bills would likely want to avoid teams that they don't matchup with well. The only teams that really "scare" me in the AFC are the Colts (just a matchup nightmare in my opinion) and the Chiefs. Not matching up with the Colts in the playoffs and not seeing KC until a AFCCG rematch might be the best path. 3- Good luck with Covid and injuries. Covid is a B word. Not having a major outbreak is going to be a major factor in the playoffs sadly. Injuries as usual are also going to be a factor before and during the playoffs. If they can have those three factors going then it is just a matter of getting some good calls and playing hot at the right time.
  4. It's almost like people on here are reactionary and prisoners of the moment? Mac had the game of his career and people immediately think that is repeatable every game. Beasley has shown to be a much more consistent player and deserves to get back into the lineup. But Mac should be used more too. I would say give Sanders less snaps as the WR4 and give more of those snaps to Mac. Beasley has still been fairly productive this season and Josh has a high level of comfort with him.
  5. This thread is so insanely foolish especially after yesterday's win (even with a loss yesterday it still is foolish). The Bills from 2000-2016 had two winning seasons (a pair of 9-7 seasons in 2004 and 2016) and zero playoff appearances. From 2017-2021 the Bills have 3 playoff appearances (and working on a 4th one), a pair of playoff victories, a division title (and working on a second one) 4 winning seasons, and have successfully developed a franchise QB for the first time since Jim Kelly. Also, the defense What more do you want from a coach and organization? Yes, if this team repeatedly falling short in the playoffs or enduring a bad stretch of seasons then eventually you have to try and move on from a coach. But McD has not shown any of those just yet.
  6. It was a solid performance. They gave up 21 points which isn’t great but isn’t bad either. They got the stops that mattered most and they didn’t give up any quick scores either. But they also couldn’t shut the door either even in the red zone and the pass rush and run defense wasn’t great either. It was a good enough performance a B or B- effort.
  7. It’s hard not to love Josh. He is such a likable player. Both in terms of his personality and style of play. Here is hoping the Bills can put the team around Josh to get him a Super Bowl!
  8. If that’s the case then add the Saints to teams with a winning record the Bills beat so 5 out of 9 wins by that metric are against winning teams.
  9. If Miami wins on Monday 4 of the Bills 9 wins will have come against teams with a winning record.
  10. I think it is a combo of lesser O-line play, play calling, and teams adjusting their schemes.
  11. I don't hate the idea since this team is going to be pretty desperate at WR with Beasley and Davis out. Brown could step in and give the team something as a 4th option.
  12. I am, its been a very up and down season football wise and Covid (just in football terms) is very very annoying and frustrating. But it is still football and the Bills are still having a good season. So I can't complain too much.
  13. Looking at the Bills cap situation for 2022 I think they should be able to keep up a highly competitive team again. The Bills don't have many key free agents (Levi and Harrison Phillips being the only ones of true consequence) and while the cap space might not be that much but there is certainly fat on the roster they can cut to make room to get some space. The Bills should be able to do some modest cuts and restructurings to save 20-40 million which should give the team enough space to resign Levi and possibly Harrison Phillips while adding a mid-level free agent or two and then via the draft the team can address larger needs.
  14. All-22 showing up to be pretty in line with the eye test. Hoping H.Phillips can have another good game against the Pats we desperately need to win the line of scrimmage.
  15. Although Josh's INT numbers are up a bit and his completion percentage down a bit he is still having a really really good season. Considering his O-line play is worse this season I think you can say that even though there might be a small bit of regression (he has made more head-scratching turnonvers this season) he still in 2021 is giving you no reason to doubt he is a franchise QB. Unless Josh goes on a monster tear to end the season and other MVP candidates tank or get hurt he isn't going to win the MVP but he is putting together another great season.
  16. BPA is relative. I think the best GM's draft combining value and need. For example, the Bills if they pick at pick 32 (optimistic thinking) and they identify Guard, DT, and RB as their top front line needs and WR, CB and Safety as their top depth needs and at pick then they have to weight their frontline and depth needs vs what is available to them at their pick. For example if the best Guard available is ranked 50th, the best DT is ranked 48th and the best RB is ranked 56th on their board then reaching for need is foolish esp if a WR they have ranked 22nd or a CB they have ranked 24th are both on the board. BUT if a Guard they have ranked 30th is on the board and they have a WR ranked 24th it makes sense to take the guard as it is a more pressing need and still a fairly good value for their pick even if the guard isn't technically the BPA.
  17. I think that the Bills are likely to want to keep costs down as much as possible. Thus a dome despite its advantages and possible disadvantages isn't likely to happen. A smallish outdoor stadium is likely to be the most viable situation for ownership, the state of NY and the league.
  18. That is unfortunate but the show must go on, between, Diggs, Knox, Davis and Sanders the team should have enough fire power but Beasley probably not being there stinks. Problem is this team is littered with those guys. Beasley and Poyer are both not easy to replace for example.
  19. Davis should be the WR2 and Sanders relegated to a supporting role. It's pretty obvious Davis is ready to take that role and Sanders is more of a complementary role player at this point of a long season. I think the coaching staff should be seeing this.
  20. Josh is a much more dynamic arm talent than Big Ben, but if the Bills get a more mobile Rothlisberger out of a QB that's a pretty dam good QB.
  21. I feel bad that he played the season on a franchise tag. He never made a ton of money before this season and now after one great year of pay he is going to hit the market with a major injury. Tampa might be fine if they can get Antonio Brown going again but it is still a devastating injury. Once again injuries are the worst part of football.
  22. I don't mind either way, but let's be realistic and say that the dome is a matter of cost. The Bills are likely to build or not build a dome due to costs and not on field factors. My personal preference is neutral. I don't mind a dome but I also like the outdoor nature of stadiums.
  23. They have had 6 infections among the lowest in the league but not the lowest either. The Jags, 49ers, and Seahawks have less with just 3 each and the Raiders and Panthers have also had 6 infections. So it isn't like the Pats are doing something that other teams aren't. With Covid I think it comes down to a combination of luck, preparedness/protocols and individual actions by the players. The teams can only control some of that, the rest is up to the players and luck.
  24. Feel good not great about the game. The team needed a get right game and they got it. Some things are concerning but they got the win and kept their season alive that’s all that matters.
  25. The Bills played a good but not great game while the Panthers showed up the Bills simply were the more talented team at home. The Bills needed this win to both keep pace in the wildcard and keep their chances at a division title alive. They got the win fairly comfortably (the Panthers kicker being out was a gift too.)
