I feel much better about this game than I did the Colts game. The Bills were out Star the team's best run defending defensive linemen and Brown the team's best O-line players along with Mongo one of the teams top 2 guards (I know that says a lot about the team's guard situation but I do think Mongo is decent). It was a Buzzsaw that the Bills ran into. For the Pats game the Bills will most likely have both Star and Brown back along the lines and possibly get Mongo back too. I know Tre is out but that isn't as big of a factor with the Pats WR's not being all that. I feel much better about this game. It will be close but I am feeling a win.

I like taking a chance on a guy who plays well but can't quite stay healthy for PS/depth players. I think they do like what they have in Dane/Neal so that is a good sign this team wasn't scrambling when Tre got hurt.

Around the NFL This Sunday 11/28 (Bills mini-bye)

The Bills getting Star, Brown and Mongo back along the lines will make a big difference in my opinion. Yes White is a big loss but I don't see the Bills secondary not being able to contain the Pats WR corps. -
Starting December neck and neck with NE

Just win next Monday and figure the rest out. Miami is playing better lately and seems to always give NE drama. So that's a positive. -
I don’t think Fournette would be that much better than what is on the roster.

I feel like this will be a close game. Both teams have good defenses but I trust the Bills offense to score on the Pats defense more than the other way around. If the Bills can not turn the ball over I think they can get the win here. I do expect both Star and Spencer Brown to come back with 11 days between games. That should help both sides of the line. I also think Mongo has a shot to come back which will further bolster the O-line.

Potential for Spenser Brown move? (to LT?)
billsfan89 replied to Toledo Bill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still think Dawkins is a decent LT this season. Last year and in other years he has been better but I still think he has mostly held down the fort. Brown should play out the season at RT as there is a more glaring need there. -
Just need him to play at an effective level, if he plays like a starting caliber corner that will be enough. He isn't likely to match Tre's level of production.

I like the speed Breida brings to the offense. But it isn't like he is transforming the offense either. He isn't having that much more success than Moss or Singletary. This team needs to get Spencer Brown and Mongo back on the O-line in order to have success in the rushing game. Breida is a nice player to add to the mix but he isn't that great either.

A lot of NFL analysists think safety play is more important than CB play. Great safeties help make up for the mistakes of corners and corners having safeties they trust allows them to play more aggressive and better. I think the team will be fine, White's loss will hurt but I think they will play well around the injury.

It's official Tre is out for the year with an ACL. Just have to hope this isn't a career altering injury. Tre is still young will be 27/28 next season hopefully he can recover and put in a few more elite seasons. I am not going to write the Bills season off just yet. Teams lose big players and still make runs. Hardly any team doesn't sustain injuries. Yes outside of Josh and Diggs Tre was probably the player the team could ill afford to lose BUT I believe in McD's system. I believe that they can scheme around White's absence.

IF Tre is able to come back for the playoffs (which is unlikely) I don't think this team is unable to win the AFC. Surveying the AFC who do you think is out there that is for sure better than the Bills? Every team has massive flaws. The Bills haven't had their lines in order for many weeks and when they have everything rolling they look like a very good team. Maybe if there was a true powerhouse team in the Conference I would agree with you but this year the AFC is up for grabs.

Bills got a blowout win on the road without Star or Brown. Granted the Saints were massively banged up but it was a dominating win. With the "mini bye" thanks to a Thursday win it should hopefully set them up to get Star and Brown back to sure up the lines. Just have to hope White's injury isn't a season ender.

Bills at Saints 11/25/21 Second Half Thread
billsfan89 replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Bills put this game into garbage time with that TD. I mean it was in garbage time at 24-0 but they had too much time on the clock to be officially garbage time. Overall a great win to just beat up on a bad team. They came out and took control of the game early going up 10-0, Josh's turnovers let the Saints hang around a bit in the first half but the defense kept the Bills in control. The offense just put the game away in the second half with three TD's and the defense just kept a strong effort. Great to get a "mini-bye" and quickly washing away the taste of the seasons worst loss. -
