Tmaster, I know you’re a very good poster, but his misdoings are not about getting married,  it’s about not giving him like Parcells said the right ingredients to make the stew.  So basically a flawed approach to drafting with Beane, then a forced flawed approach to OC by Brady, and a flawed group of WRs, minus Shakir, and Kinkaid if you add TEs.  Rbs have been great and so is the O Line.  Josh didnt forget how to be a QB, he is play has flawed WRs and their use.  Moore and Samuel need to be more utilized, and less on Coleman.

In some parts I agree but I have seen replay's from games that Josh has had Samuel running WIDE OPEN and chose to go else where or didn't see him and that is what I feel the distraction is for him . because he was seeing all of it last year but between getting married and all of the other commercials and such I think he is not as focused and the message plus history may be lying heavy on his performance .

Just a thought no proof but IMHO IT COULD have something to do with it ????

I don't think Allen is the problem, but he has been part of it lately.  More of a result of his back breaking from having to carry the team.

I was quick to jump on the F Diggs bandwagon, and I still think a guy getting paid that much should handle himself more professionally.  However, it is clear Josh isn't a motivator like many SB champion QBs.  He, and the team are exactly what you would expect from a group that has "mr brightside" as a fight song.  They miss Digg's talent and fire.

I get the impression Diggs wants to win a superbowl above all else now that he is rich.  He clearly saw it wasn't going to happen with McBean and a xanax stupor locker room, no matter how talented the QB is.

This x 100. Josh took off once we signed Diggs. Gave him additional support with Bease and Brown/Sanders.

For some reason they thought that getting rid of and not replacing those guys with equal talent was a recipe for success is dumbfounded. Shows how clueless both Beane, and Pegula are.

Plus Josh has to be that vocal leader. It is part of his position,  he is a superstar and if tge one true superstar on the team is lax, then the team will be as well.

We need someone to step into that role and get in faces, hype up players, kick a** in the locker room if needed.

Josh should work with a Sports Psychologist, and get his mojo unlocked. It's still there, but lying dormant for some reason.

First off, the roster just isn't good enough in many areas, which is why you're seeing us get our teeth kicked in by mediocre teams.

As for Josh, he isn't playing well. Part of me wonders whether Brady and McDermott's hyperfocus on limiting turnovers has pushed Josh from cautiously aggressive (last season) over into complete fear and indecisiveness this season. In the second half when desperation mode took over, the Bills racked up nearly 300 yards of offense. So they are capable of throwing the ball and moving it downfield when the shackles are off.  I know the receivers suck too, but they sucked last year and we were mostly able to produce a consistent offense.

You don't bench someone to spite them, especially someone with the pedigree of Allen.

You bench someone when the backup can do a better job, and we're very far from that with Trubisky.

I'm glad a lot of you guys don't work in HR for a living, the company would go under in 6 months.

T, I’m not saying it’s a distraction at times, but I’m a focused guy, and he’s much more focused than me.  He wants to win.  Marriages don’t destroy work ethic if you’re the right guy.  Josh is the right guy.  You can’t use garbage for weapons, and expect to win.  Lastly, the OC has to have a better plan if he wants to win.  Those are the problems.  Not Josh.  Not an indictment on you at all.  You’re a solid poster, and respect your opinion.  I just don’t agree with youre findings on this one position.

Bench Colman and play Samuel out there every snap. He’s the only guy we have that’s actually been a good WR in the league. That’s the guy we should be playing every down. 1 and 10 are the two best WRs we have. Give this guy a chance to play

Did you just criticize Josh Allen? Make sure you got your bulletproof vest on LOL. Joe Marino has pointed out several times this season after watching the All-22 that Josh misses wide open guys down the field.

He just doesn't look comfortable to me.  At all.  Why that is I don't know.  Probably receivers not getting open but it's weird that we "ran it back" with essentially the same team but the offense does not resemble last year at all.  Surely they don't have Ray Davis to just return kicks?!?  Agreed he is no Jimbo but had a much bigger role last year.  My son and I can predict almost every play, so a lot of that is on Brady.

People snicker at it, but Curtis Samuel is the only other WR that Josh trusts,  he had some huge catches in the playoffs last season.

It absolutely is true. We are way past the point of you flying in to take bullets for the defense. We have already let 3 guys run for over 170 yards on us and it’s only week 10. There are games we don’t give up a ton of points but there are a ton of factors in that. Mainly turnovers. You’re never going to see it. It is what it is. I have been saying it for years and you just always do this. Agree to disagree the defense is absolutely horrible. Against the panthers they were good. They have had about 5 good games since 2020. They are a disgrace

The defense NOW is horrible. No disagreement. Your statements about since 2018 and 2020 are demonstrably untrue.

Not sure if yesterday was the same but the other two losses it seemed like the oline gave up a few quick pressures and Josh lost all confidence in those guys and got happy feet.

he did have a few throws yesterday where he hung in the pocket longer and I don’t think any of his fundamentals looked too bad either  so maybe it wasn’t quite the same

Next on First Take: is Josh Allen holding the Bills back? What do you think Stephen A?

If Josh Allen doesn't play a game we’ll lose by 40

Zero chance. We’re going to lose but it’s still the nfl.

2018 is a wash. There were periods of 2019 where the 2 all time Safeties we had were still erasers and turnovers covered a lot of issues. The defense cost us the playoff game in 2020 and in 2019. 2017 was the 1 year we were good. After that offseason teams wrote the book on it and it was flat out, if we aren’t turning people over we aren’t stopping them

They've essentially already benched Josh.

This.

I dont know how anyone can watch these games and think Allen is a problem.

Allen is the only reason we are in most of these games. That 3rd and 17 or whatever was insane work from him.

OP, Buffalo716 and other Allen haters should start their own club and leave us out of it.

Josh is not the problem, but he’s not the solution he usually is either. He has looked a bit lacklustre lately. Understandable maybe, when all he gets to do is throw sideways for three yard gains.
