im not projecting him

just saying this yr has been bad

And that I can’t disagree with brother. A few weeks back I said I believed the Baltimore game could be it. He’s had a few games where something clicked only for it to sadly fizzle out.

Davis and Palmer are definitive upgrades over pretty much all of our WR's. Which goes to show how poorly built this core is.

The problem now is that we needed them plus Kincaid, our clear top option downfield, is down with a hamstring. So even when we get those guys in - it's one step forward, one step back.

No-they don’t need him dropping easy passes, having interceptions because he’s not in the same page as Josh. Stop forgetting the bad with Gabe and only remembering the 1 or 2 good games he had

Gabe looked so far away in those practice clips. Other guys are doing the drills and he's just going through the motions with a limp. Maybe he'll be ready by Jan.

In the meantime, we need Palmer back.

Davis doesn't look like he could outrun Deon Dawkins right now.

Perhaps he puts on a few pounds and becomes a tight end? Story always was he was a great blocker on run plays

Gabe was good with Daboll and Dorsey, two OCs who value a downfield passing game. Even if he were still in his prime, I doubt he'd be successful with Brady.

He’s a great fit for the Brady scheme also tbh…great blocker also and runs a lot of deep routes.  Pretty sure they picked up Coleman thinking he’d be an improved Gabe Davis

Yep and Palmer. Who knew how valuable these guys were. Coleman, Samuel and Moore are garbage

How do you know Samuel and Moore are garbage?

Samuel: 6 targets, 5 receptions, 62 yards, 1 TD

Moore: 14 targets, 8 receptions, 115 yards, 0 TD

Those aren't bad numbers. Samuel specifically has been very efficient. And the eye test tells me most of those are on broken plays rather than designed play calls.

The problem is our OC wants to force plays to Coleman even though he's by far the least efficient receiver on the team.

$2M a catch for Curtis Samuel is quite a definition of “efficient” lol

How is that any sort of reflection on the player? If they want more bang for their buck they need to involve him more in the game.

You're proving my point that it's a coaching issue more than a player issue.

Yup they meed to activate him for the next game and get some snaps. After Shakir he is the best WR on this roster.

Not clear Davis is healthy

With Kincaid most likely injured again, the Bills are more desperate than ever for a competent receiver. Davis will go in there and school these young guys on how to run fades and come back routes.

The current WRs have absolutely no clue what to do when it comes to a scramble drill. How many plays did Allen buy 5-6 seconds of time and STILL nobody could get open ?

No, he won’t solve all the issues, but I think Davis could at least provide a spark to this pile of dog ***** Joe Brady calls an offense. Or they can just lay down and die like i’m sure a lot of posters would like so they can claim to be right.

You're not wrong, but your last line irks me a bit

I think people want the real issue to be fully exposed instead of a Gabe Davis bandaid where we could possible see McDermott and Beane claim to be ok if Josh somehow manages to polish this turd of a passing game

Posters don't have to claim anything because they've already been proven right

Beane has failed to replace Diggs with a legitimate receiving threat and it has hurt the offense despite the numbers they have managed without him

We do need Gabe Davis, because that’s our wide receiver situation. However, this is like needing a date and finding one at the methadone clinic.

This isn’t true, they don’t “need” Gabe Davis. Many on here want him to play because he’s back to being an unknown factor and they assume he will be better than what’s out there

The fact that fans are calling for Gabe Davis to be savior of our wide receivers should be a testament at how Beane has failed this team.

and how short their memory is.
