I would have said “wow, that’s steep” and then forgotten about the compensation as he and Josh hooked up for TD after TD. Oh well. At least beane can sleep at night with his draft picks intact. With the AFC this year, we had a serious chance of going to the SB. With waddle it would have been even better. Without him, I think we still have a chance but not nearly as much. if you have a good chance to go to the SB you do WHATEVER it takes to get there. A 2026 1st (arguably the 31st or 32nd pick) and a 2027 3rd rounder (basically a 4th) was a no brainer - except for Beane. Quote

Donuts and Doritos Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago The AFC is weak. If Beane had gone All In & gotten Waddle, this team would be able to win the Superbowl. It would have made Josh's life a lot easier. This was the year. 1 1 Quote

The dolphins were never going to trade us Jalen waddle lol Anything they say would be to spite fans lol we gave them more than enough compensation according to what we offered 1 2 Quote

KingBoots8 Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Not sure if this is sarcasm, so I’ll respond genuinely. it takes 2 to make a trade happen. Beane did go for it, but the Phins didn’t want to arm us with a weapon within the division. That would be like us trading Diggs to Miami years ago - we don’t want the division getting better. honestly as much as I think we still need WR help I can’t say he didn’t try, and coming off a nice win I can’t complain too much today. nobody in the AFC is going to line up to trade with us unless we overpay, and then you have to be realistic in the value the trade will bring. Trading 3 1sts is possible, but not wise in 99% of cases. Beane made mistakes, but he’s also put together a roster that won 5 AFCE division titles and is 1 game back from another one. 1 Quote
TFBillsfan Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Each week, I watch our WR’s barely move the needle outside of Shakir. Literally, getting nothing this season from Palmer, Coleman, Shavers, Cooks, Samuel and Moore. Beane’s GM stock has significantly declined this year IMO. It’s pretty much Shakir and Gabe Davis, who I really don’t understand why he was inactive. 1 1 1 Quote

Maine-iac Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I'm willing to bet Beane tried like hell to go all in. Not sure which WR he was after but I bet he was after one. He seemed pretty upset after the trade deadline about no deals getting done. 1 1 Quote

NewEra Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago Should’ve gone all in and traded for Micah Parsons! Torn acl Quote

Steptide Posted 14 hours ago Posted 14 hours ago I would've retained hollins instead of signing Palmer. Palmer has been a waste Quote
