Lots of activity today and some major moves. Of the Bills competition the Colts got better but gave up a ton for Sauce. Other than that, it feels like the NFC teams really improved more.

I’m on record as thinking that the Bills had to add a boundary WR. The Shaheed comp felt doable but probably had to pay a higher price than Seattle based on where the picks will be. Otherwise, it doesn’t seem like a deal was there to be had.

I know that the Bills were active and that’s what I ask of them. Don’t be too arrogant to think that you’re good enough in a spot where you clearly suck. They made the calls and tried to make deals. It takes 2 to tango and you have to be smart. I’m not going to hold this deadline against Beane. Now, it may blow up in his face if they fall short of the Super Bowl but he did try.

the Colts gave up too much for a team that is on the bubble of being a great team. sure their record shows them atop the league and doing well. but to lose those first round picks if this doesn't work out is insanity.

the rams did this with a premier defense and added a cherry on top with Miller.

the colts did this with a good defense and added a pickle, sauce gardner. he's not a pickle rick pickle, either.

We need good health from some guys now - Palmer, Kincaid, the D-line.  We'll see what Sanders & Jackson bring to the table on D, and if Gabe can regain some of his old form.

But I'm not mourning our lack of move if it was just going to be for a marginal player,  like a Deebo or Von.  It doesn't seem like any of the top targets were really that available.

Beane probably sees Gabe Davis as almost a mid season add that will help the WR room.

For D line? I think they should have and needed to added some interior pass rush with the injuries to Hoecht and Ed

I’m sure he was on the phone, but I respect Beane not making a crazy offer for somebody when you’ve got a team as closely knit as the Bills.  What I’ve seen for the past two weeks is a team learning who they are and looking pretty damn good.  This 3-headed TE monster they have built is legit, and with Palmer coming back I’m pretty content with Palmer/Shakir/Moore/Coleman.  The Bills are still one of about five teams I think are true SB contenders, even without making a move.  We now need some luck (injuries) going forward.

We got guys on the D line out for the year: Hoecht and most likely Oliver. Tough sledding…

The Colts saw their likely playoff opponents and knew that they absolutely needed someone that could lockdown Keon Coleman.

I'm obviously not happy they didn't add to the WR room. I thought it was a mistake in the offseason and I think it's still a mistake now. The AFC is wide open but I don't trust this offense to make critical plays in critical moments at the end of games.

But oh well, they'll play the games and we'll see if they were right to stand pat. I'm not gonna spend the rest of the week whining about it. They made their bet and they have to be right.

Honestly not bringing in any reinforcements is inexcusable for the receiver room

The bills offense is an injury to shakir or Kincaid of being utterly in competent as we saw last season when shakir went down for a couple games and this season with Kincaid

Both good players but both are not the level where they determine an offense

The bills desperately needed depth and more insurance before Tyrell shavers is your top target

100% agree. They better hope Jones is the guy. If not, they’ll be looking for a QB with no ammo.

I have simply come to terms with the fact that Beane and I don’t value draft picks the same.

I see them as lottery tickets.

I would rather trade a lottery ticket for a known commodity, than use the lottery ticket.

I would rather cash in a 1 in a million chance at a billion dollars, for a guaranteed $100,000.

He doesn’t agree, and that sucks in my opinion, but it is what it is.
