There's probably more in the front 7 that deserve it, dominant performance from them. Ditto for the run blocking.

One to Hairston. Awesome showing for his first game in the league.

I'll be interested to see the snap counts. I think only two passes were thrown in the direction of his coverage and he had his man locked down on both targets. The few other times I saw him out there Dalton looked and threw to the opposite side of the field. It was nice seeing an opposing WR running across the field with a Bills CB in his hip pocket. Haven't seen that this year.

Benford is routinely giving up the same routes IMO. Would be helpful if he played like last year

Interesting background i found on Hoecht. I knew he was versatile as an "edge", but God dang I didnt know he played DT LOL Lorenzo Alexander part 2....  dude was 310 as a rookie.....

Baffling how big he is, I dunno why i thought he was a bit more compact.

Quote

"Michael Hoecht's weight has varied, but he is currently listed around 267-297 pounds with the Buffalo Bills, having been listed at his rookie weight of 310 pounds when he entered the league. He has intentionally reduced his weight since entering the NFL to better suit his role as a versatile defensive player.

Current weight: Listed at 267 lbs for the Buffalo Bills and 297 lbs in a recent Madden video game rating.

Previous weight: Weighed 310 pounds when he entered the NFL.

Weight reduction: He has actively worked to lower his weight from his rookie size to improve his performance, with his "sweet spot" identified as being between 268 and 278 pounds. "

There seemed to be more man coverage than usual also, which is very encouraging.

Special game ball to all of our returning players in Hoecht, Hairston, and Ogunjobi for coming in cold and making some plays. Ogunjobi went from the couch to starting mid game and we're going to have to lean on him.

Total team win with JIMBO leading the charge!

Gotta shout out the O-line and TEs, Cook ran amazing, but the guys up front gave him a lot of lanes and big holes. Give the big boys their due.

Game Balls:

Cook

Hoecht

Epenesa

Shakir

[Shout out to the rest of the D-line too. Bosa, Groot, Ed, Walker, Phillips, etc. all pitched in. Sucks to see Ed get injured. I liked the way Hoecht and Oliver were playing off of each other in the first half.]

Im curious to find out Hairstons snap count.
Seemed like a big difference on the back end even if it was Dalton

Others mentioned above but missing Groot. His one play in the 1st changed the trajectory of the entire game.

Lots of game balls to give out when you win 40-9!

Unfortunately, outside of Shakir, the rest of the WR’s were  invisible. Add in almost no contributions from Kincaid and Knox.
