Scientists have been growing organs in labs for quite a while now. And "organs on a chip." Yet it's like we're forever "10 years away" from any kind of advancement for any kind of treatment for any kind of disease.

You must be young.  As recently as the 1980's there were an incredible number of diseases that came with only the advice "you have x months" to live, that people now expect to be recover from, or manage for many years. It is true no one has found a way to make people immortal.

Went to a Jets/Bills game years ago and my bud bought a Mangold jersey. As much as I hate the Jets always thought that was a great purchase.

Odd. Nobody that young dies only of kidney disease. You can be on dialysis for years waiting for a transplant. Have to wonder what other health problems he had.
