Bad Bunny will be the Super Bowl halftime act

I have no heartburn with the halftime performer. He's a huge name in the music biz. NFL is chasing dollars, which is it all it really cares about these days.

Once again Gwar is snubbed for the halftime show because the NFL are cowards. It would be the greatest half time show of all time.

 

 

 

For real though, Bad Bunny is a popular choice and it makes sense as he'll draw in an important demographic for the NFL. Not for me, but anyone who grouses about the Super Bowl half time show seriously needs to get some perspective.

Couldn’t care less who it is. Halftime is for other things than watching entertainers. Booze, food and broads come to mind. Though just booze and food for me since I have a ball and chain.

BS. Some rock band that used to be part of my workout playlist from 20 years ago should be the halftime show.

 

Seriously, why do people get upset about these things? Bad Bunny has been a huge music star for the past few years. He has cross-over appeal in US acting (SNL and Happy Gilmore 2). He makes bass heavy music with beats and rhythms that make people want to dance. And he's in a large demographic that the NFL has been trying to trap into. This makes a ton of sense and I'm not even a fan of his (though I'll admit my hips will move a bit when my wife puts his music on).

Heard the name Bad Bunny before but couldn't name any songs. I'm 37 and I bet most my age or older are in a similar boat. I also heard he doesn't really sing in English and sings in Spanish instead. Poor halftime show choice it seems like but not a big deal.

I've never seen a superbowl halftime show I cared a wit about whether it was someone I liked or not so I can't care about who they get to play it. If there's people out there that like the guy then more power to everyone who will enjoy it.
