Russell Wilson has made over $315 million in his career. Good for 5th all time. He sure knows how to milk teams for money.

Yep, he and Kirk Cousins are forming an investment company after they retire.

If it were me, I would be just playing Dart in some garbage time over the next couple of weeks to acclimate him. Once I got through my brutal schedule I would then move to starting him.

You're close!  Start Winston, Ciara's husband can sit the bench, or not show up.... he can go design pregnant lady jeans, or whatever it is that he's into LOL

Winston is good enough to win a game, then hand out INT's like Oprah.... then you can move to Dart.

Then again...... Daboll and Schoen have nothing to lose here.  They throw a rookie in too early and completely shatter his career a la Jets, its not their problem, they weren't going to make it to week 8 staying this course.  If I were the team owner, Im protecting my first round asset from exactly this and taking the controls away from them!

I hope the kid is ready, Im a big fan of him!!!

Whoa!  Wilson to Cinci is a good idea.  Cinci desperately needs someone, because they don't want to waste a season.

Wilson’s only strength is the deep ball, and that may work with the cadre of receivers the Bengals have … you either take a shot or write off the season

The Giants at 0-3 need some sort of spark and it wasn't going to be long before the ownership wanted to see the rookie. 2 out of 3 games the Giants offense looked terrible (and the one game they looked good was against the league's worst defense). It's a desperation move but a needed one for a desperate team.

What are you basing this on?

He sat in the booth with Michael Kay and Paul O'neil for an inning during a yankees game back in may.  He seemed to have an enormous ego and zero humility.

That is why I think if he fails he will do it in a really bad way.

he just gave me that vibe.

I am basing it on that alone I am probably completely wrong to do that.

Pete Carroll hid Russ' flaws for many years. No one else has been able to. He's serviceable, but they aren't going anywhere with him at the helm. Might as well see what they got in the rook.

With Dart, I worry that this could end up as a David Carr type of situation. That Giants OL is terrible. I hope he doesn't stand back there and get beaten to death for 14 games.

Their plan was to start Dart at some point this season. There is no going back to Wilson (unless Dart gets injured) so they only had to wait until they were to a point where that made sense. 0-3 is about as early as they could’ve done it. The locker room must know that Wilson is cooked.

You could watch their D visibly wilt after Wilson's 2nd interception.

They were on the KC 23, they should have at least come away with a FG and gone into halftime with a 9-6 lead

I think there's more to it.  I think when Wilson was younger, he took more coaching.  He also had players to match his skillset.

I think towards the end of his time with Seattle, he had become entitled and felt he was above both his teammates AND hard coaching.  Remember "I'm the best QB in the league right now" and "Let Russ Cook"?

After Sundays game, Russ shouldn’t even be dressed for games unless Dart or Winston get hurt.

You want him to be on the sidelines... bare naked?

When he left Seattle, this guy made a convincing argument that Russ can only run one offense and attempting to get him to change would spell disaster. I think he has been proven correct with time:

Yup.  Stat line below.  5 for 18, for 24 yards passing.  2 INTs, 3 sacks taken. 1 rushing yard.  Down 26-0 at the half.  That half confirmed that Peterman's disastrous game against LAC in 2017 wasn't a fluke but the most likeyl outcome.

Especially with Daniel Jones looking like a real QB in Indy.  I fully expect that story line to crash and burn soon but at present it all looks really bad for Daboll and Schoen.

Yeah, seemed like Daboll got a lot of credit for developing Josh, but you have to wonder if it was misplaced.

There were a lot of habits Josh had, and a number of habits he apparently didn't have, when Daboll was here.

We'll see what happens with Daniel Jones in Indy, but from early returns one does kinda got to wonder if you have a point and Josh developed to some extent, "in spite of", instead of "because of"

I’m convinced the the fall of Russ started when Buffalo came and smashed them at home during the “let Russ cook” season. I believe he was traded to Denver the next offseason.

The problem is, he’d be in for 3 quarters anyway, might as well just give him 4.  There is NO way, Daboll could go in that locker room and say “Russ gives us the best chance to win” after the first 3 weeks and have any prayer of keeping the team playing for him.  It was over for Wilson, now you had to choose between 1:1 TD to INT or the Rookie.  He must believe Dart can do more than Jameo at this point or at least it’s what ownership wants to see and it’s his best chance to stay employed.

I don’t put a lot of stake in the idea Daboll “developed” Josh, so much as it was Josh was on the rise, they added talent around him and gave him a relatively easy system to run for his skill set and it all worked.

I bought a Dodge Dart once, rattled down the road caught on fire and died, 3 years old

Who revived you? Kudos to that person.

EDIT: and how did you reach the gas pedal?
