Ed Oliver is as good as I've seen him today

I have said he's not as good as quite a few in his draft class as a DT. But I had to take a bow today that he rose up to the level.

You've been wrong, Oliver is way better than you've thought of him.  When he's not double teamed, he can be a menace.  We finally have a couple DT's that command some attention to free him up.

And he hasn't always got the stats that his performances have deserved which for a lot of fans has stopped them really seeing his value. But with the exception of the first half of last season where for whatever reason he was underwhelming Ed has been great for 3 or 4 years now.

It seems like the rotation behind him benefited him. Deone Walker got great push on many plays and Sanders too. He had help wearing these guys down.

He was absolutely excellent today.

He has one of these kinds of games once or twice a year. His problem is consistency. Excellent performance by him tonight.

He made some big plays today but that’s his MO.   He makes a few splash plays but is invisible the rest of the game.  I’ll take today’s splash plays though.   That sack was probably his best play as a Bill.

Oliver looked like the type of guy we’ve been begging for on this DL. 
 

That was an Aaron Donald level performance.  TFL’s, a sack, forced fumble. 
 

Rest of the Defense has a lot to work on, but he was an absolute unit out there.
