I hope they don't let him back on the field until he's 100%, even if it means missing the first game or two. Better to miss some early games than have this injury linger. 2 1 Quote

oldmanfan Posted August 3 Posted August 3 For those saying the amount of injuries are absurd, how would you fix it? Shakir likely came down wrong on his foot to get a high ankle sprain. Not much the training staff can do there. I am all for having good stretching programs, and I am sure a professional training staff has those in place. This is just rotten luck in some cases. Quote

Believe you’re thinking of the normal sprain where the ankle bends outward. A high ankle operates the opposite direction, where the ankle bends inward, toward the other leg. Also believe I read that Shakir got rolled up on during a running play. Probably an offensive lineman rolled into his leg. Quote

None of these injuries are their fault, not even soft tissue ones like hamstring pulls and strains. The reason they seem like they do is players in season try to push it and come back when they aren’t 100% and so they remain gimpy for a while. Bills just need to rest him until he is 100%— no need to rush back for a week 1 game if he isn’t there yet. Quote

machine gun kelly Posted August 3 Posted August 3 This stinks as that means if all goes well, is cleared to play a day or two prior to the Ravens. I doubt they’ll play him without practice time. I hope he gets ahead of schedule as the Ravens game is the only really tough game for 8 weeks. Quote
