congrats to the Knoxes:

suggestion for names:  Seymour, Northrup or Albright....

Henry Knox was George Washington's Chief of Artillery and the namesake of Fort Knox.

Congrats on the new addition. This changes EVERYTHING in your life. I wonder if he will take a 6-8 week paternity leave like the “kids” do these days?

I kid, but my son went back to work about a month sooner than another dad with similar timing. Maybe that came in with gender reveal parties and I didn’t notice?  🤷‍♂️

6-8 weeks lol… up here in Ontario mothers or fathers can take a year…. I’ve worked with a dude that just had babies for a 5-7 year stretch and we barely seen him lol…

unfortunately for myself, all my kids were born from 88-2001 long before parental leave was a thing.

I knew a very successful guy who hated to take the mandatory 2 weeks off at the bank every year. (It’s required for security reasons.) He hated taking ANY day off! He was afraid that if he was out of the office they would learn that they could get by without him.

My son recently had his second child and he took time off (3 weeks) but he kept it brief compared to others. When they have to make that tough call on shaving staff, it may not be right but on some level things probably lean to the guy who showed up and got the work done over the guy who milked things because he could for 2-3 (or even 6) months while everybody covered for him.
