BillsfaninSB Posted June 13 Posted June 13 That is tough one. I think the number is around $250K. Anything less would not change my life much. Would just use it to pay down the house or something like that so nothing really changes. An SB win though would really help my joy coefficient on a daily basis. Quote

without a drought Posted June 13 Posted June 13 What year is this question based on, $500 in 2025, get real. Quote
SirAndrew Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I think that putting a specific price tag on this doesn’t work. It depends too much on each individual’s financial status, age, and level of greed. The real question should be, is there ANY amount of money you’d take for the Bills never win a Super Bowl? I love this team, but if your answer is no, you’re too insanely devoted imo. Quote
gonzo1105 Posted June 14 Posted June 14 I’d take the SB for that amount. Raise the stakes and I might change my mind Quote
Neo Posted June 15 Posted June 15 Fun topic. However, I think setting the amount at $500 is similar to setting the over/under for a Bills Lions game at 11. That, of course, begs the question of me. What amount would I propose as a difficult choice? My answer is $12 grand. Not because I’m fancy or rich, but because I have dozens of deep personal relationships with friends and family, in Buffalo and elsewhere, where Bills fandom is one of the most powerful mutual bonds. A Super Bowl win would bring months of joy and years of satisfaction. Quote
The Jokeman Posted June 17 Posted June 17 SB ring is nice but it don't feed my family or pay my bills, show me the money. Quote

Or better yet, what’s everyone’s individual number for no SB in your lifetime? What about your and your kids’ lifetime? Assume tax-free/after tax for ease of discussion. 1 Quote
damj Posted June 17 Posted June 17 I might put out on the first date like the cheap ***** that I am, but $500 over a Lombardi. Quote
Shaw66 Posted June 17 Posted June 17 This isa great question, and as someone just said, it depends on age. If you're 30, you might actually come up with a number that would leave you set for life, something that would give you financial security. On the other hand, you'd be condemning yourself to a lifetime of no Super Bowls. And actually, that number could be lower than you think, because you'd have a betting advantage in Las Vegas, knowing in advance that the Bills wouldn't win it all. You'd be 1/32 better off than all other bettors. If you're old like me and have enough money to live on for the rest of your life (well, I hope so), then the money becomes less and less important, eventually completely unimportant. I suppose I might take $20 million or more, so I could set up my kids for life, but they're doing fine right now and probably will be okay even if they don't inherit a bundle from me. Maybe if the deal is I get $10 billion, I'd take it. Then I'd buy the Bills from the Pegulas, change their name to the Buffalo Bylls and go win some Super Bowls. After all, the deal was the Bills wouldn't win, not the Bylls. Quote

Well, I’m sixty four, a Type I diabetic, and I just had open heart surgery! That said, your question requires a better framing of my answer. I have four kids, three kid-in-laws, seven grandkids, dozens of cousins and double dozens of friends. For me, it’s this one season. When you’re a patriarch (or old guy), the coming season is THE season. I make a trip to Miami and bring six people to hotels and buy their tickets. I get a year of memories from it. We talk about the last trip for six months and the next trip for six months. Again, no fancy rich guy, but the trip’s $6 thousand, and it’s a regular season game. So, yes, I’d rather the Bills win this year than have someone give me $12 thousand. 1 Quote
