You're so old, your life expectancy is about 38 days, so you probably only need $500 for the rest of your retirement. 3 Quote

There’s no amount. They’re one of the most important things in my life, sad as that may seem, and knowing they had no chance would effectively take that from me. 100% agree with the sentiment that no sum of money would be worth it. 3 hours ago, Giuseppe Tognarelli said: The better question is, "How much would you bet as an emotional hedge if your team were in the Super Bowl?" Probably $2,000. I was thinking this same thing lol. My emotional hedge would probably be $50k, anything more and my wife might make me sell the bourbon collection lol Quote
MikePJ76 Posted Friday at 02:43 AM Posted Friday at 02:43 AM (edited) This is a really weird thread. the Yankees took out their brooms in KC tonight. Mahomes sat front row watching his team lose this week. now if we could just get the other New York team to win in KC. Edited Friday at 02:43 AM by MikePJ76 1 Quote

SinceThe70s Posted Friday at 03:23 AM Posted Friday at 03:23 AM A Super Bowl will get you through times of no money better than money will get you though times of no Super Bowl. I'll take the Lombardi. Quote
transplantbillsfan Posted Friday at 03:26 AM Posted Friday at 03:26 AM Number needs to go at least 6 digits for me. Quote
The Firebaugh Kid Posted Friday at 03:49 AM Posted Friday at 03:49 AM I would give up ALOT to see it happen. I think maybe $100,000 might be my cut off? Idk. Likely more. Quote
Rubes Posted Friday at 03:52 AM Posted Friday at 03:52 AM I would have to get to seven figures before I’d seriously consider the money. Quote

BigDingus Posted Friday at 07:16 AM Posted Friday at 07:16 AM Yeah.... I can definitely be bought, but not for $500 😆 I need that extra money though, so offer me $5,000, then MAYBE I'd take that. Sorry, economy is rough right now! 1 Quote

I’m semi-retired and comfortable so the money doesn’t mean all that much…would need to be crazy $$ for me to give up the chance of the Bills winning it. 1 Quote
Freak-O Posted Friday at 08:54 AM Posted Friday at 08:54 AM Where is the fun in a guaranteed victory? $500 isn’t a lot either. I’d take none of the alternatives, miss out on the money and live with the excitement that the Bills might win. 1 Quote
machine gun kelly Posted Friday at 09:17 AM Posted Friday at 09:17 AM What I want more than anything is for my Dad to witness his 1st SB win since 1960. My dad turns 95 in August, so he doesn’t have a lot of time left. I’ve done well in my life so making $ is easy. A SB win on the other hand is something I wouldn’t exchange for any amt. of $. Quote
kenny3000 Posted Friday at 09:23 AM Posted Friday at 09:23 AM $500k would be tough to pass up. But the collective value to the X number of Bills Mafia, present and past, would be too much to turn down. Every one of us that has a loved one no longer here that gets to go to that emotional happy place with them for that SB win. That emotional energy and value? I'd rather just work harder and get what I get. That celebration, parade for the city and Bills Mafia worldwide would be too sweet.. Unless we talking like $10 million lol Quote
Johnny Bravo Posted Friday at 10:11 AM Posted Friday at 10:11 AM To me, the guarantee of victory would take away the joy that came with it. When I picture the clock hitting zero in a Super Bowl with the Bills on top I think of all the pain and disappointment over the years and all the angst that will go into the lead up to the game itself, and how they won’t matter anymore. All the previous hurt and worry will actually fuel the joy I’ll have at the Bills finally being champs. If I know we a will win in advance, I won’t get to have that singular moment in the same way. 1 Quote

In which case, the price goes up. $500k sounds like the breakeven deal number to me. But boy it is a tough question you asked. Let's say I chose the money, and 30 years later I am on my death bed. What will I feel? My guess is that I will think at the time that I was a fan for 64 years and my team has no ring to show for it, wasted a generational QBs talents and put my emotions though the wringer year after year with no payback. At that point, before death, I will regret having chosen the $500k. 1 Quote
