Teams don’t care about people paying exorbitant prices for tickets, as long as they get a piece of the action. Gotta say I don’t love ANY of it, but if I’d rather the club make the profit, as opposed to some middle-man reseller. They are also the ones that have invested the most and have the most at risk. Teams, artists, wwe, ticketmaster, etc. raise prices on certain events, and massively raised prices on certain seats at those events. The Bills do this with the Chiefs game, crush the initial demand at the highest price possible. You can then negotiate a reduced rate with sellers for the remaining inventory to "sell out" the game. They can then charge what they want. They also are adding a ton of club seats at the new stadium, which is another racket aimed at avoiding the 38% away gate number since you can charge a "club rate" that is not a part of that revenue sharing model. Essentially overcharge for food and drinks you may or may not serve. Depends on the venue, but if they use ticketmaster they have an absolute F-ton of data. That data can be useful when gauging what to charge right out of the gate, what to charge to make profit, when to dump tickets to sellers, etc. They also charge a ton for premium seats and premium "experiences" which i think are just to get a big influx of cash right out of the gate. Brokers and people who resell get a raft of crap when games are in demand, but no one sheds a tear or cares when you're eating $6 tickets. Resellers serve as insurance to team owners. They ensure venues are fully sold while absorbing the fluctuations in pricing. 2 minutes ago, Chuck Schick said: Gotta say I don’t love ANY of it, but if I’d rather the club make the profit, as opposed to some middle-man reseller. Where do you think part of those massive add-on fees go? See I think that’s a big part of the problem…resellers like Stub Hub were at one time just a means for one person to sell their ticket to another. Whether the people involved made a profit, broke even or lost money didn’t matter to Stub Hub as it just collected its service fee for making it happen. Now these companies buy up the tickets right when they come out, and turn a $150 face value ticket into a $300 ticket to anyone wanting to buy it. Quote
Gunsgoodtime Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Will playoff tickets be sold at a reduced rate to compensate for pain and suffering? Quote

Gotta imagine there's alot of people trying to get to one last game there. Not surprised at all. That and I imagine there are alot of fans out there trying to make it to their first game at the stadium before it closes. I have talked to fans from other teams/areas that have told me they would like to make it up here for a game this year before this stadium closes Quote

But closer to the games, prices should drop as people will just be looking to make something off the tickets if they can't go to the games 1 Quote

They went out to everybody right after schedule release announcement 2) Apparently they're trying to ease the sticker shock for tix in the new stadium by jacking up prices this season. WOW! For the opener, a single seat from the team in my section is priced at $557 + tax. Middle of upper deck is over $300. This isn't even resale. iii) Ridiculous Sounds like a bargain. https://www.instagram.com/p/DJqC8-fztxS/ Quote
DaVinci Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Financially divested from this team after this season. Seems like they are getting a bit shady. Quote
BullBuchanan Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago last time I wen to a game I think my seat was $60. No chance I'd ever pay more than $80 to a see a game that wasn't the Super Bowl, and even then I'd probably max out at $200. 1 Quote

zow2 Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago Tickets were very expensive on the secondary market last year too. They've steadily gone up as the Bills have become a perennial contender. Fans from all over hear about the tailgates, the Mafia, etc.. and want to experience a game in Buffalo. It's a bucket list kind of thing for opposing fans too. I thought my best chance to get a decent price was the New Orleans game.. but that's not the case. It's really the only Sunday afternoon daylight game when the weather is still decent. There's a big demand despite the opponent not being the greatest or a rival. I feel like i got a good price paying nearly $500 total for two lower level corner tix. 2 Quote

oldmanfan Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago My younger daughter has never been to a game at Rich, and we want to get to one this year. Is the best bet to wait for now and let things settle out before buying? Quote
Sierra Foothills Posted 28 minutes ago Posted 28 minutes ago A lot of people in this topic are posting about their preference to watch the games from the comfort of their own homes, for relatively cheap. Let me just say, enjoy it while you can. Quote
Bruffalo Posted 24 minutes ago Posted 24 minutes ago I'm pretty sure we got tickets to the last game of Allen's rookie season against the Dolphins for ~20 bucks a ticket the day of the game. That being said there's pretty much no amount of money that'll keep me from seeing at least one game in the stadium its final year. Quote
