It's not McD’s call on his injury, its up to Docs and the player. If he's cleared medically then he's good to go as far as the coach is concerned

What a travesty. Paying Samuel more than what we could've signed Simmons for. I believe we're paying Samuel 8 per, and Simmons is getting 7. If I'm not mistaken.

McD wouldn’t be putting him in position.  He’s a grown man and would be making this decision on his own. McD has nothing to do with it

Hyde isn't on the roster.  He would have to be called...by someone like McD or Beane, to see if he wanted to come back.

 

That would be McD or Beane "putting him in that position", as opposed to, say, not calling him up at all.

I won't claim to know who makes the call, but I would expect it comes from Beane - or Micah's agent. 

 

No clue who Alex Brasky is but I think it's odd that he paraphrases that McD "likes what they have" and then quotes "You know how we feel about Micah.” Makes me question whether the quote and paraphrase came from the same 'interview' and whether I should care what he posted anymore than the speculative posts we get on 2BD.

I sometimes wonder if Damar is getting a bit of preferential treatment, I wonder if he hadn't had the incident that happened to him if he would still be with the team ? I know he knows this D better than the new recruits but is his ability where it needs to be or is he truly a back up elevated because of what happened ?

 

I'm very happy that he is back playing football and his health looks to be great, but i can't help but wonder about the hole situation sometimes . Or am i missing his developmental potential at his position ?

Two clichés apply here:

 

1.  Timing is everything

2.  Hindsight is 20-20

 

At the time the Bills signed Samuel, WR help was a huge need.  Given what guys like Gabe Davis make, Samuel's contract looks like a bargain.  He's hasn't been very productive so far, but there's a lot of season left.  I don't know if the turf toe is the issue, or if it's just the plays the Bills are calling.  I was expecting to see more carries, jet sweeps and other creative plays with Samuel.

 

Also, Simmons almost certainly ended up settling for a relatively cheap 1 year deal after holding out for a lot more and not getting the offers he wanted.  He wasn't going to take a 1-year, $7M deal at the time the Bills signed Samuel.  I don't know if he'd have taken a 3-year $21M deal at that time.  I'm guessing not.  Would I love to have Simmons on the roster?  Of course, but the timing did not work out.

Yeah, at this point I don’t understand signing Samuel for so much.  He doesn’t even start because the coaching staff finally realized Shakir is best in the slot and he’s been like just a gadget player so far, and not that effective. Wasn’t he supposed to have 4.3 speed?  If so, it isn’t being utilized properly.  He’s not that elusive on those WR screens.

I'm thinking McD does not say this unless Hyde has some interest in a return.  Hyde wants to wait until later in the season, however.

I have no clue wtf is going on with Samuel.  I thought he would have a down the field deep threat role.  Shakir would do the typical slot thing that he is doing very well, Coleman deep balls, TEs in the middle and Kincaid can stretch the seam.  it just looks like chaos now, however.
