Buffalo is not a market where you will often get takeovers from opposing fans.  It’s obviously not a destination,  vacation city. When they are a good team it’s going to be mostly Bills fans no matter what. Sure, when they are downtrodden, you may have Pats or Steelers fans in big numbers but that’s not the norm.

I told people last year not to panic about PSL’s.  People thought upper decks would be $6-8K per seat. I know how it works in Baltimore and the cheap seats are cheap PSL’s.  That’s how it was always going to be.  The Bills were trying to make their bank on club level and lower midfield seats, now they just need to fill up the place with regular income folks.

Back in the day we had a home game against the Steelers and more than half the crowd were Steeler fans. Rich Stadium was a sea of yellow towels.

So you need a PSL to purchase seasons. Therefore the PSL market place will replace any wait list

It will be the same for seat relocation, you will need to buy the PSL for the seat you want to move into and sell your existing PSL

There's still alot of "Sellers" that own Bills season tickets.  Even just in recent years teams like Philadelphia and Cincinnatti have had massive turnouts at our stadium

How is Green Bay? How is Seattle? The lions?

I saw a bunch of articles this offseason without looking for them. It’s common place in high demand markets that aren’t begging to fill seats.

I don’t think teams like the optics of a huge number of visiting fans, fans don’t like waitlists while resellers profit… I’d venture the guess that the long term attend every game seat is also much more pleasant to police on game day than is a rotating cast.

The NFL also profits from resale.

The only thing I can see is teams hating not getting $400 a seat for the Chiefs game that resellers get. But now Ticketmaster offers a "sell now" option. They offer you a profit but not what you night sell for. I wonder if those tickets go back to the teams to resell for those premium prices?

yep - not nearly as much as during the drought years, thankfully, since now with how good the team is Bills STH’ers are more apt to hold on to their tickets and actually go to the game

A debate I'm having with myself, and I want some honest input.

We're now seeing the $1K PSL's. I turned down the club seats I was shown months ago because of cost, and being locked in for 30 years. Can't see myself going to games at 85 years old. But I would not have a problem getting a cheap PSL and upper deck tickets for the next 2-5 years, then just dropping them, knowing the Bills would take back the PSL, with nothing in return.

Would that be bad of me?

That would be the best case for you than do it. Demand will still be high for those last few psls to sell out.  Bad thing is the bills will be able to sell yours again in 5 years.

Do you have the option of selling the PSL yourself? Then maybe you could get $500 bucks back from someone  for each seat.  Either way if you can afford it go for it, enjoy the things you love.

Yes, my understanding is that once your PSL is paid off you can sell it to someone else.

After the first season in the new stadium is complete, yes, that is the case.

I don't think you can just drop the PSL.

The PSL is a loan and if you stop making the payments you would be defaulting on the loan just like a car loan.

It would affect your credit

You can pay it up front, interest free before next season or finance it over 10 years. @Just Jack would have ownership once it’s paid for. You can just not renew the tickets.

If he fails to renew his season tickets then PSL ownership would revert back to the Bills. If the PSLs are not paid off, it doesn’t change much except for the risk of collections and a credit ding. The Bills are not using a 3rd party loan provider (according to AI) so it would be up to them how they handle it.

What Kirby mentioned would be my plan. I can easily pay off a cheap PSL before next season, so it would not be a credit score hit. Just wondering how people might feel if I intentionally am buying seats knowing I'll drop them in 2-5 years, when there may be people that want to buy for 30 years that can't get in, if it sells out.

Honestly, who cares? If you have had season tickets (club seats no less) throughout the drought years you have more than paid your dues.  Sell them after 2 years if you want, after the "New Stadium Honeymoon" is over in good conscience. People on the waiting list would be happy to have more PSLs entering the market.

You can sell those PSLs to other fans when you decide to stop going. If the PSLs go back to the Bills because you didn’t buy season tickets, then they will sell the seats as single game tickets until they can sell the PSLs. So there is no reason anyone would think badly of you.

I wonder how low they will go.  I was hoping $500-750 for the endzone/upper endzone area (seats I actually like, it give's you that Madden perspective and allows you to easily see formations).  Still waiting on my call though, but I'll probably be one of the last as I am halfway up 339.  Geing antsy, I am excited and want to lock the seats in for the new stadium

Im starting to get nervous.  Rockpile sitter, and I see them starting to eat into those areas a little bit.  It doesn't feel like our "turn" is very close.

STH for 20 years now.  I get why the process has been run this way, but it doesn't seem entirely fair that we are worried about getting locked out and/or get the absolute last choice.

I/we would have upgraded our seats 2 years ago if we knew this would be rolled out this way.
