HomeskillitMoorman
Just now, Logic said: It's really quite simple. Nick Wright is a carnival barker. An old timey wrestling heel, like Rowdy Roddy Piper or Ric Flair. He is PURPOSEFULLY playing the role of "antagonistic villain", because it gets viewership, clicks, and online engagement, which equals more money for Nick Wright and his employers. He is playing a persona. A character. He's like Skip Bayless or Stephen A Smith. If you've ever heard Nick Wright speak seriously on a topic, then you know that the "Nick Wright" you see on your screen every week is nothing more than a bit, a put-on, a ruse. His character loves the Chiefs and hates on the Bills. It works again and again and again, because Bills fans take the bait again and again and again. I stopped getting mad at him a long time ago because I recognized what he is and what he's doing. You should, too. All I can do now is stand and applaud him for being so good at what he does, which is to antagonize and troll people into continuing to engage with him and the programs he's featured on. I think he enjoys it on top of the clicks/money thing. That's probably what makes him more hateable to the people who get triggered by him. He's even more of a character than a guy like Stephen A though because you actually do have moments where Stephen A steps out of it.
Punch
I've seen him in a different setting where he isn't "in character" and he appears to be an intelligent, well spoken guy. It's easy to see how he was able to work his way up through the ranks as a sports talker. Unfortunately, like all News and Sports TV, now that he's risen to his current station, he's got to put on a show and act the fool. I'm 100% certain that deep down, he respects the hell out of Josh Allen and the Bills (just like Mahomes, Kelce, Reid, et al do.), but he'll never admit it and ultimately, who cares either way. stevestojan
I get a kick out of him. He plays the villain perfectly. Including the long hair despite a hairline that is racing away from his eyebrows. Also, popular opinions don’t get clicks. He knows exactly what he’s doing and I give him credit for it. 1

Warcodered
It's really not all that complicated, he does it one because it generates content and views/clicks, and two because he's a Chiefs fan and the Bills and Chiefs have been going at it each other hard in the AFC for the last 4 years and his persona on that show is always as a Chiefs homer. Bengals, Ravens they've been up there but no team other than the Bills have as consistently been going at it with the Chiefs outside their division I'd bet. Hell last 3 years we've tagged them in the regular season. No way a Chiefs homer likes us.
ControllerOfPlanetX
Who is he? Is he on finheaven? Because those people really hate the Bills and it is rather quite amusing.
RiotAct
Not sure if it’s been mentioned yet, but this might just be a “schtick” by him. An act, so to speak.

beebe
His job is to entertain and he must be fairly entertaining because the show is one of the very few success stories on that network - getting better ratings than every show on the network including Skip Bayless's Undisputed show. Getting great ratings while making Chiefs-Bills the center of the show's universe is pretty incredible given that most networks the last 20 years have spent all their time fixating on the Cowboys, Yankees and LeBron.

Other broadcasters look at things objectively like Colin Coward and Brossard and give Josh and the Bills the credit they deserve. This guy just totally looks at all the negatives and no positives. I guess he does it to get attention as it certainly isn’t because of his sports analytics. He is a total POS. Unwatchable!!!! How is this new to you? Its been this way since Allen was drafted. Sources indicate that this has been going on for...Josh's and Mahomes' entire careers? 36 minutes ago, DrDawkinstein said: Who cares about Nick Wright? I care about seeing him suffer! And since I’m an adult I don’t let his words about a team I cheer for bother me. His Bills takes and Michael Jordan takes are all time bad. But that’s fine with me. Aussie Joe
He is one of the main enablers of the “Josh Allen is bad” rhetoric .. I think he is smart though and doesn’t really believe it … It does benefit him crusading on this and getting clicks and winding up the Mafia… but it also does detract from JA’s standing in the game … which I think is unfortunate…
