And Hitler's Germany (oops! had to go there for historical reasons) the philosophy was all about inequality, not equality. Certain races were deemed objectively better than others. So the focus on absolute equality drove one society to brutality while the focus on genetic superiority/inferiority drove a different one to brutality.

In other words, I think this explains a lot less than Musk thinks it explains.

No it covers it perfectly, those who don't judge people as individuals end up doing terrible things. It is either individual rights or someone is going to screwed in the end.

Hoax.  Ivermectin is not an effective treatment for COVID.  For worms, yes, but not for that virus.

It is incredible that this is it. This is the shining example of leftist policies. No evil MAGA to contend with. No right wing terrorists there to destroy the city. Equity. Caring and tolerant police. Love and understanding of their unhoused mentally compromised brothers. A glorius and prosperous place that every democrat would achieve if they got what they been desperatly pushing. removed the right wing scourge from the planet, packed the court, eliminated the electoral college. Giving their leaders absolute power. Complete agreement..this is it. their pinnacle. A example to show the country the utopia it can have if only they would follow their beliefs.

And noone can honestly refute Its devolved into a crime infested sh!+hole. Litterally.

This is what one party rule looks like everywhere. So we should really try to get along a bit better. Compromise and politicians who actually have to earn votes seems to give the best results but that wont stop idiots from praying for their side to gain supreme power and villianize everyone who disagrees. Dont backtrack with the policies now. A wonderfully tolerant disaster is unfolding.

City by city. Town by town. The human nature of tribes and narcissism to self destruct rather then give the "enemy" anything resembling a win is quite interesting to watch in real time.

The result of Liberal policies.

San Francisco hardware store owned by same family since 1955

has lost staggering $700,000 in a single year to ‘organized shoplifting.’

Dale Hardware’s owner Kyle Smith described the helpless situation in Fremont – and said his grandfather, who founded the shop in 1955, would ‘roll in his grave’ if he knew about the unbridled shoplifting.

The uncontrolled looting in San Francisco has occurred for a number of reasons – including the accelerating organized retail theft and increased homelessness.

Widespread drug addiction and the move away from incarceration for less-serious crimes are also contributing factors, according to experts.

Smith told the San Jose Mercury News: ‘You’ll go, “Sir, sir, sir!” and they don’t even turn around. Or they’ll give you a look, like, “Do you want to go there?”

‘How do we run a small business with $1,800 of loss every day? It ends up costing the consumer more money because we can’t survive without raising prices.’

But perhaps the most damning thing was a photo taken by a local resident showing a homeless person sitting next to a fire build beneath the scaffolding of the construction site that just burned down.

SF-homeless-fire.jpg

KRON 4 published the photo along with a bit of the exasperated letter sent to elected officials:

Quote

“Our neighborhood and our city is literally being trashed and set on fire and you all are doing nothing about it. We are asking you to take these issues seriously and remove encampments that pose a danger to our community when we report them instead of throwing your hands up in the air.”

To be clear, that photo was apparently taken in January so it’s not related to the fire yesterday but it gives you an idea what is happening in the neighborhood.

Mayor London Breed published a lengthy thread on Twitter today asking people to be patient and not jump to conclusions.

Announcement Concerning 'Pelosi Federal Building' in San Francisco Explains Big Problem With Democrats

By Nick Arama

f3de22cb-91af-472b-ae2a-83e93ca4f4c9-860

If there’s anywhere in the country that shows the bad results of years of bad Democratic policies, it’s San Francisco.

They can’t blame Republicans for what the once beautiful city has become — its downfall has been completely at the hands of the Democrats who have been in charge

You would have thought that having a high-profile person in a great position of authority for many years — former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi — that might have helped the city. But she’s been supportive of progressives, and the city has fallen to crime and drugs.

{snip}

But if you truly wanted another example of how bad it is in San Francisco, it would have to be this story.

Officials at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services advised hundreds of employees in San Francisco to work remotely for the foreseeable future due to public safety concerns outside the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building on Seventh Street.

The imposing, 18-story tower on the corner of Seventh and Mission streets houses various federal agencies, including HHS, the U.S. Department of Labor, the U.S. Department of Transportation and the office of Speaker Emerita Nancy Pelosi. The area is also home to one of the city’s most brazen open-air drug markets, where dozens of dealers and users congregate on a daily basis.

HHS Assistant Secretary for Administration Cheryl R. Campbell issued the stay-home recommendation in an Aug. 4 memo to regional leaders.

“In light of the conditions at the (Federal Building) we recommend employees … maximize the use of telework for the foreseeable future,” Campbell wrote in the memo, a copy of which was obtained by The Chronicle.

What’s the name of that building? It’s the Nancy Pelosi Federal Building. Now let’s start with why anyone would name a building after Pelosi. But there’s so much crime that can’t even ensure the safety of the people that work there, they’re just telling them to stay home. Doesn’t that say everything in one appropriately named building? Here’s some video of what it’s allegedly like nearby. No wonder people are told to stay home.

But, we’ll be having far less kids to raise in this mess - that’s not a good thing.

On the flip side, fewer kids to mess up.

The best part was that little chick in the #29 jersey stopped pretty much the whole thing by herself.

I guess the build a new stadium to make tickets high enough to price out the rednecks theory is a bust.  They had a lot of fighting at the Stick too.

San Francisco Police Union Blasts Bakery for Refusing to Serve Cops in Uniform.

Reem’s California is an Arab-owned bakery that says it values social justice, one of the three core values listed on the establishment’s website.

In an Instagram post over the weekend, Reem’s doubled down on its refusal to serve police carrying guns.

“In a time of increased gun violence — particularly impacting people of color, youth and ***** people – we believe that maintaining a strict policy of prohibiting guns in our restaurant keeps us safer,” the statement said.

It isn’t just political policy allowing crime to devour San Francisco.

When this bakery gets robbed or the owner gets assaulted, I just hope the Cops don't show up. Let this idiot deal with criminals on his own.

San Francisco has become San Fran S**T Hole . Could it be the lack of consequences in the court system there ? Could it be the liberal thought to not be tough on crime ? It seems that the west coast is leading all things like this from Seattle to Southern Cali .

Anytime i have been there which is quite a bit with my job it is explained to me by "responsible adults" that utilize common sense that this is becoming more frequent because of those elected to be leaders being anything but that & being more afraid of being chastised by the people rather than standing up for what is right .

Law & order, real consequences for personal actions, & common sense are no longer in the forethought of these so called leaders minds . They are like the parents that try to be their children's friend & in no way setting a example of what truly is the difference between right & wrong then standing firm on those beliefs which use to be the American way but is no longer .

The criminals now have more rights that the people that abide by the law which is just wrong on all accounts !!

San Francisco Hits Record Overdose Deaths; 3 per Day from Fentanyl

San Francisco recorded more overdose deaths in August 2023 than in any other month since records started being kept in 2020, a sign of the city’s continuing struggles with drug abuse and the opioid pandemic on its streets.

The San Francisco Chronicle reported:

The number of overdose deaths in San Francisco jumped up yet again in August — to 84 from 74 in July — tying January as the single deadliest month for overdoses since the city started tracking these deaths in the beginning of 2020.

At the current pace, San Francisco is on track to see 845 overdose fatalities this year, topping 2020’s 725 deaths.

The numbers underscore how San Francisco officials continue to struggle to address the devastation of fentanyl on the city’s streets — a crisis that Health Director Dr. Grant Colfax called “distressing.” The last figures indicate people are dying from fentanyl overdoses at a rate of nearly three people a day.

This is why I don't sit in "cheap seats". I rarely go to events because I can't afford tickets often but I don't want to deal with kind of crap. It happened back in the 90s in Buffalo, especially against the Jets, but these seem out of control.
