Hope there isn't a huge contrast between the real turf and FieldTurf border when things start and as next season goes along.

Is there any word on what type of grass is being used? I was reading awhile back about buffalo grass that is slow-growing, doesn't require much for watering, and stays green for longer and was like... just for the name, we ought to be having some of that in the grass seed blend.

I'm assuming there will be some testing done on how it holds up to foot traffic & sports use either in a couple of months or at latest in early spring.

I'd like to know how far the grass goes over the sidelines.  Going from grass to turf right on the edge seems like it would be dangerous so I'd imagine it going to carry over a few feet at least.

I’m not sure it’s the case at the new Bills Stadium but when we design them it has to extend far enough to accommodate a soccer field, which is wider than a football field.

Good to know, and I believe they have talked about using it for soccer in the past so likely the same case.

The challenge becomes protecting the natural grass on the football sidelines since the players and coaches stand within the wider soccer boundary…so they’ll typically put down a tarp there.

It appears there is a sand-like base below the sod. I am not sure what I was expecting but it wasn’t that.

It’s a standard cross section. The sand helps with drainage.

What, no escalator?

Nice but that overhang ain't covering sh*t really,  it's good for the wind diffusion though.

Those were only with the dome option.  It’s a bundle, along with stainless steel urinals.

Say what? The overhang covers the entire upper level. We’ve been over this!

That's was my first thought. Some people in the upper levels will have some coverage, but when the rain or snow is coming down, 2/3 of the stadium is gonna feel it.

Plan is to keep field at minimum 60 degrees year round

Bench area will be artificial turf except for a section of grass for kickers to warm up

All of the upper deck is under the roof. All of it!
