SCBills
Just now, Success said: It remains to be seen - I still think that the Bills should be strong favorites to win the division. Allen is still the best QB, and w/ Hyde & Miller both coming back, I just don't see either the Jets or Miami improving enough. The Dolphins lost 6 out of their last 7 games in '22. The Jets lost their last 6. Health permitting, our Defense should be on par with the Jets and Dolphins. All could be Top 5 Defenses in the league. Therefore, Allen > Rodgers/Tua is the difference. However, our OL and WR room need another legitimate piece or I start to worry that the talent around those two QB's can start to offset the QB edge we hold. Regarding Burrow and Mahomes.. our Defense should be much better than their Defenses. Right now, both are ahead of us on Offense (IMO). 1

Ramsey and Long to MIA is significant. Those are the 4 teams we are fighting with the most. Taylor to Chiefs is a downgrade, not significant, and they lost JuJu, Clark, and probably McKinnon...all significant players in their SB run last year. Ramsey to Miami is meh, they were not one CB away from being great and still have a massive question mark with Tua and his durability. They were on a 4 game losing streak with a healthy Tua last time he was on the field too. Brown to Bengals would be significant in a vacuum, but they lost a lot of players in the process, and the thing that helped them the most to get buy KC the year before and Buffalo this year in the playoffs was their defensive effort where they lost the most of their players. And they lost Perine and Mixon is a massive question mark right now with the off field issues. Rodgers to Jets is about the only real significant move that truly poses a significant upgrade (in theory) in their direct threat on us. But, there have been plenty of these moves like this with late stage QB's that don't work out as well as people think, so they still need to show it on the field. Not to mention, Rodgers is going to hate the NY media if its not going as perfectly as the Jets fans expect. The sky isn't falling is the moral of the story. You can't look at all these moves in a vacuum, there are a lot moving parts.

Straight Hucklebuck
$16M in Cap Space. $5M for Rookies. So $11M in cap space. But doesn't look like Poyer or Allen's contract is in Spotrac yet. Edited March 16 by Straight Hucklebuck

I mean look at KC with HOFers like Clyde Edwards-Helaire. I don’t know what Beane is thinking. Let me see if I have this straight. Your defense of the Bills drafting prowess is to cite other teams that are equally not very good at it? Using your logic we’d be better off trading down every year so we can take twenty guys in Rounds 5-7 and then just wait a couple years to ***** up the leftovers from around the league via free agency. Although, now that I type this, it might not be a bad strategy. 😉

jkeerie
This thread needs to be re-titled "Bills free agency Trasher." Teams get better every year. The competition is always changing. The Bills lost one key player...who, BTW, half of this board also trashed...in Edmunds. They are adding pieces as well. Big names? No, but let's see how these players play before we say they're garbage. Jets and Dolphins added great pieces last year...through free-agency and the draft. Yet the Bills still won the AFCE...with declining play due to all the injuries. Heck...even our starting QB was injured. The off season isn't over yet. If the team is garbage next year, you "fans" can all gloat and say you were right. For now...all we can do is wait and see. 4

And when will NFL fans learn: the team that "wins" FA is rarely one of the teams that is hanging around at the end. This happens every single year. And I'm already gearing up for Groundhog Day when the draft comes around, when posters will lament every pick because the players don't match up to who they had on "their" board. 1 1

It's quite a significant risk and a downgrade. 1

A tackle is needed in the draft to push Spencer Brown. Another WR is definitely needed. A LB will be added A vet RB will be added Other then that we are set Am I the only one that wants to see more of Morris. 2nd TE doesnt mean enough on this roster to justify a splash IMO. Feels like the front office digs him too

The JETS lost ALL Leverage bending the knee to Aaron. And a Nate Hackett offense is scary since when?
