Your Top 3 Players from the "Drought Era" you'd add to the current roster

Some say he is not a draught era player for he made the playoffs.

Make Mine Moorman!   Brian Moorman, P - better than every punter in camp including the god and he made other special plays besides punting.

Ruben Brown, LG - he continued playing well in Chicago.

Eric Wood, C - better than any center last few years.

Can I choose a coach?  Rusty Jones, damn best conditioning coach in the league.

Rusty Jones, now that's a cool choice! Totally forgot about him. Remember Marv talking highly of him, but don't remember much else honestly.

And even though some of these guys made the playoffs at some point, I'd include anyone who was stuck on those Bills teams at any point during the drought. Very few guys started & finished their careers in Buffalo during that point, Kyle Williams & Aaron Schobel being the most noteworthy & relevant (I think).

Jason Peters and Reuben Brown would make an offense with no question marks for me, and I think a DB just for depth. Moulds should not be on the drought list seeing as he has the most receiving yards in a playoff game.

Good article on Rusty Jones I bookmarked for him after he was lured out of retirement.

He was the one who reshaped Bruce Smith (Bruce says so himself).

He was the one who made K-Gun possible keeping team in shape to run it.

His program is what kept Bills on average with low injury rate.

When a new head coach came in he was promoted upstairs so head coach could bring in his own strength and conditioning coach.  He hated it.

Ruben Brown left the Bills in a huff to Bears after reportedly attacking coach in meeting.  When he got there he told them about Bills' spinach and they hired him as strength and conditioning coach.  Bears had injury issues before and then they went down.

Nutrition advice has made such an impact on players that Brian Urlacher says, "If Rusty tells me to eat dirt, I'll eat dirt."

Spikes, Peters, Evans - honorable mention to Freddy Jackson.  As mentioned above, Allen to Evans (in his prime) would be one hell of a combination.  I loved watching Evans catch bombs from JP Losman, and Allen > Losman, at least a little bit.

*TO

**Jackson

***Darius

*TO even at the age we had him on this WR team would give defenses nightmares.

**Fred Jackson MR. "You aint getting me for 3-yard losses"

***Someone tell me how the HECK they double team Oliver, Darius, Miller on that line. Would be the best line hands down.

Special mention... Gilmore, Lynch. Why Fred Over Lynch you ask? Fred was DEPENDABLE...

Insane to see so many people picking Freddy Jackson and Marshawn Lynch over impact players at valuable positions.

CB: Gilmore, Winfield, Clements, McGee

LB: Fletcher, Spikes

DE: Mario, Schoebel

LT/RT: Jason Peters

WR: Moulds, Evans, TO

Good lord, pick any of those over a running back.

1) Jason Peters (by a rather big margin)

2) Mario Williams

3) Aaron Schobel

I was going to say that Peters is--by far--the best Bill to play during the draught era.

So he would be my first choice.

then maybe peak Mario Williams or peak Marshawn Lynch.

So I’m on the fence on Moulds. He’s on my list. But he made the playoffs his first 3 years. But was apart of the first 6 of the drought.

If Moulds is allowed I probably go

Marshawn Lynch

Mario Williams

Eric Moulds

Otherwise probably Peters or motivated Dareus.

NFW.  Those are all really good players, and important cogs for us.  Take your pick of any two and pair them with Fred Jackson.  Incomparable ability to get what was needed, do what was needed, fire up the whole team… totally love Freddy.

Gosh.  So many different directions to go.  Best positional fit based on what we have?  Most loved players?  Players you would just love to see enjoy this time? The Best players?

Im going to go with:

Takeo Spikes

Bryce Paup

Jarius Byrd

Im assuming Pat Williams and Antoine Winfield arent considered drought either.
