Bills fans will say Allen. Chiefs fans will say Mahomes. Bengals fans will say Burrow. The 4 Chargers fans will say Herbert. These 4 are the top QB's in the AFC. I would say Mahomes and Allen are the top 2 and you can rank them anyway you want. These 4 will probably dominate the AFC for the next few seasons.

To me, it's still Mahomes at #1. He has a Super Bowl and an MVP. Nobody else has that.

Josh is in the same class at 1/2 and everybody else is 3+.

What do you think Allen would've done?

I have to think if you put Allen (or Mahomes) on the Bengals in that game Cincy wins it by 10. Not that Burrow did any thing terrible...just both Mahomes and Allen are better suited to escape the pressure, take what defenses give them and extend plays/drives.

I wouldn’t say Burrow is the Best QB in the AFC right now.

He is definitely in terms of “Being On Schedule” in the best shape.

He’s only played 30 games (with playoffs).  That is less than 2 seasons.

That has him really ahead of all the AFC, right now.

as for Kyle Brandts ‘burrow did not have a transcendent year’

Ehhhh…he sort of did.

We are talking about a QB who only played 16 Games and went for a 70+ completion %, 30+ TDs, Rating of 108.3 (2nd in League) and 4600 yards passing (which made him throwing for the most yards of a QB who didn’t get to play 17 games and was only behind 5 other QBs overall.

and then he did take the Bengals to the Super Bowl.

Nope! He is good, not the best. Arm strength above average, but nothing special. At times, the ball comes out like a wounded duck and other times a nice spiral without a ton of zip on it.

Hasn’t learned to throw the ball away and mobility is just eh. Joe has a long way to go to get in the Rogers, Allen, and Mahomes class.

Disclaimer: Cinci’s offensive line is a heap pile. Lets see what he does with some quality in the trenches.

Joe Burrow is a great young QB, but to compare him to Allen is typical for a talking head that says controversial mindless absolutes for shock value. Allen is more dangerous with similar pedestrian O-lines in the vertical and underneath passing game as well as his prolific run threat. The biggest difference is Josh's elusiveness in the pocket. Burrow will not survive getting sacked as much as he does. He's already had a serious knee injury. Anyone who witnessed Josh this postseason and doesn't come away saying he's the best QB in football should not be taken seriously. Sorry Shrages
