SinceThe70s
What was the first live concert you went to? Mine was Twisted Sister opening for Blue Oyster Cult. Both Long Island bands. At the time Twisted Sister was a bar band that had found some success in England and was making their 'triumphant' debut stateside in an arena. I knew nothing of them 'cept for radio commercials. They came off as Kiss-lite but had enough energy to be interesting. I was there for BOC and they didn't disappoint.

Poleshifter
It was a dance at St John's school in Kenmore, but they had The Beau Brummels! That might have been the first famous band I saw. It was 1965 or 66.

My big brother (15 at the time) brought me and we had floor seats. I don't remember the whole show, but I do remember a few specific songs, as well as the drum solo. I consider myself very lucky to have seen them on this tour. 1

Son of a K-Gun
Pink Floyd in '94 at the old Exhibition Stadium in Toronto. I was in high school and took my Dad for Father's Day. Dad passed earlier this year and music was always a bond we shared... thanks to the OP for rekindling some great memories.

Mark80
Metallica with Danzig and Suicidal Tendencies at Darien Lake when I was in 8th grade (1994 maybe?). Me and a buddy with his dad as a chaperone. We ditched his dad almost immediately. Met him later at the car and he didn't even say a word about it.
corta765
Garth Brooks in I believe 1998 at Marine Midland Arena We were on national TV as it was the CMA award night and Trisha Yearwood did a duet with Garth on TV. He was also announced as entertainer of the year. It was biblically loud and in terms of pure energy and deafing noise I have only been to two other concerts that matched it.
