I'd be utterly disappointed if Wildgoose doesn't make it to the PS. That's a name I want to yell and root for in the future.

Great name but I thought he looked like he absolutely did not belong on an NFL field. Physically overmatched at every level in every facet of the game.

Speculating, it looks like Phillips and McKenzie will probably to go short term IR given what we know about their injuries and the fact that they kept 5 DTs and 7 WRs. That would open up 2 spots on the roster. Per Joe B, one is for Ferguson. I suspect the other is a TE since they only have two on the roster and Sweeney has been a constant injury concern. So, Hollister would make sense to me.

Well it seems if you are a 15 year vet or ten year vet like a Tom Brady, you do not play a preseason down. As that you want to rest and in the wanting to being in the highly respected there vet that can enjoy that. A very much rarity.

Can I get a translator over here?

We don’t know anything about McKenzie’s injury outside of what McD told us. Not sure how you can conclude he’s headed to IR.

My gut tells me he’ll be ready to go for week 1 but I also don’t have anything to support that

I don't really understand our TE situation, but am otherwise cool with all of this. I wasn't even big on Hollister I honestly don't understand how we're going to proceed with only two TE. He's got to either be coming back or they have plans for somebody else. Yeah Gilliam, so maybe 2.5 TE, but it's not going to be enough.

I wasn't really ready for this much Sweeney, but Let's go Tommy, I'm rooting for ya. He's definitely going to see more action than I expected. If he's really #2, he's probably going to see a lot.

Honestly, I believe this has to be the  plan,.

So once Harry and McKenzie (?) are given the IR designation and Ferguson/Hollister (?) are signed back to the roster, who do the Bills cut once the IR designees are able to return?

I'd file that under the "let's not worry about it until we need to" category. Maybe others will be dinged up by then (hopefully not, but realistically probable). Some will be performing better or worse than the FO originally believed. It should work itself out.

A strong ST unit translates into good field position which translates into more trips to the red zone. We certainly benefitted from that last season. At least on paper, it doesn't look like we're going to start on ST as strong as last season, even with Jones. It's easy for fans to undervalue special teams, but it's a lot more than just kicking into the end zone.

Actually it depends on how defenses play.  If defenses play loose between the 20's and very tight inside red zones yards gained is not so important.

Now if ST block kicks, take away ball from returners and on kicks put ball deep in redzone it is different.

Bills used to be rated as top ST team because it had players and schemes which could do things like that.

My prediction is we IR Harrison Phillips and Tommy Sweeney, using the vacant roster spots to re-sign Ferguson and Hollister. Sweeney will be kept on IR all year. When Phillips is healthy I think we will cut or trade Vernon Butler to put Phillips back on the roster. I also predict we will sign a veteran CB in the next few days and cut Tyrel Dodson to make room for him.

Wonder if maybe this is because he's got contacts/connections with Ferguson who's been here years but not with Hollister who's only been here this one camp.

Maybe Wawrow and Buehler have a contact and can break the story

His job. And he does it better than most other gunners in the NFL.

Spatial awareness, that "GPS" to find the football like they say with Rousseau, is an important attribute for a gunner and it is not off the charts with Taiwan Jones. I'm guessing he plays physical and combined with his speed that's why they like him. The ball skills aren't great.

It is just…fantastic and sad that some people just can’t STILL see the guy’s worth. After he makes the team year after year….

Its really just proof of how few fans actually pay attention to anything other than following the football.
