No explanation?  You just don't like my explanation and that's ok.  I don't expect you to like anything I post.  Carry on counselor.

Once again, Chef Jim Crow requires translation.  What he meant to communicate is that he still doesn’t have an explanation as to the problem the GA law is intended to address, and he attempts to avoid that issue through deceit.

And this guy thought he could be my financial advisor.  Perish the thought.

There is no real problem?  So the 2020 Primaries and General in GA went swimmingly well?  How's the hell do you breath with your head so far up your ass?

Again late to the show and pointing out things that have already been discussed.   Do you homework counselor.

So....when the exclusively GOP legislators crafted this legislation ...did they go to ...you know....the urban and ethnic sections of the state and ask them... you know because they are citizens too....what they think should happen at elections...you know...how to make them run smoother, make it quicker to vote?

I will go out on a limb and say no. That is all you have to know....and that is why it is rightly condemned.

MLB moves All-Star Game from Atlanta to one of the whitest cities in America…

Atlanta is a black-majority city, with 51% of its population black.

Denver is one of America’s whitest major cities; just over 9% of Denver is black.

And $100M in revenue will be lost, hurting a good number of minority-owned businesses.  Well-played, Robbie!

Condemn it all you want.  Say that the GOP didn't talk to the inner city folks all you like.  You have no proof they did not but lets say they didn't.  Does THAT make it racist?  I think not. A wise man not too long ago said "elections have consequences."  You don't like the way the GOP operates that's fine.  I don't like the way they operate either.  Kick 'em out like was done in the Presidential election.

Regarding being your advisor?  I have three criteria:

1.  I need to like you.

2. You need a lot of money.

3.  They don't ask me if I beat the S&P

Even if someone passes one and two but not three I kick them to the curb.  You, for a fact fail two of the three.  So curb meet SectionC3

Isnt that what GA is going through GA Republicans make a stupid decision to pass the law based on their feelz because Trump cried election fraud. No they are facing real economic consequences for their decision based on their feelz? MLB alone takes $100,000,000 out of the state.

I hate it that you might not understand. So if you need me to explain it in simpler terms, just ask

You can only vote one time.  How many opportunities do you need?

I support a photo ID for voting...

But if people want to use the excuse that not everyone can afford one (which is a legitimate excuse, and not just for minorities) perhaps each state can provide each citizen with a photo ID, free of charge, when they turn 18?  Or perhaps it could be done on a federal level?

I’m normally against raising taxes...but I would support it on this issue...Voter fraud happens every election, and helping to eliminate it, any way possible, is much too important...and it’s something, I’m sure, every law abiding citizen could get behind...

Where there is a will, there is a way...👍

I have never heard of someone not being able to afford an ID.   Where there is a will there is a way

This is Florida off of their website:

The fee for an initial Florida Class E license (including learner’s permit) is $48.00, a commercial driver license (Class A) license is $75.00 and endorsements are $7.00 each. The fee for an ID Card is $25.00. Most local Tax Collector offices also charge a $6.25 service fee.

ANALYSIS: TRUE. The Democrats Are Stuck in 1964:

Why treat the black electorate like helpless children? It’s clear that when blacks are sufficiently motivated, they have little trouble meeting the same requirements that other groups meet and casting a vote. Democrats continue to claim that Republicans are advocating modern-day poll taxes and literacy tests in disguise, even as evidence to the contrary continues to mount.

Actually, that’s not quite fair to Democrats. According to the polls, most Democrats—as well as most Republicans, liberals, conservatives, blacks and whites, don’t object to things like requiring people to prove who they say they are before voting. Liberal activists and their friends in the political press like to obsess over such things, but outside that bubble none of this is especially controversial.

In a saner political environment, Democrats and Republicans would stipulate both that Joe Biden won the presidency legitimately and that the pandemic election exposed significant flaws in our voting system that ought to be addressed in a bipartisan fashion as soon as possible. We have a closely divided House and Senate and a midterm election 19 months off.

Yet in lieu of a sober discussion about voting procedures we have a surfeit of political posturing and scare-mongering, along with a president who believes, Trumplike, that his job description includes things like determining the location of Major League Baseball’s All-Star Game.

UPDATE: Guess Who Likes Georgia’s ‘Racist’ Voter Laws…Black Voters, Survey Says.

https://www.rasmussenreports.com/platinum/political_tracking_crosstabs/april_2021/crosstabs_georgia_boycott_april_1_and_4_2021

Nearly three-quarters of black voters believe voter ID is necessary to ensure a “fair and secure election process,” a Rasmussen Reports survey released Tuesday found.

The survey, taken April 1 and 4 among 1,000 likely U.S. voters, asked respondents, “Are laws requiring voters to show photo identification such as a driver’s license before being allowed to vote necessary to ‘a fair and secure election process’?”

Tsk, tsk, Chef Jim Crow.  Dropping some Q platitude about doing my work doesn’t change the fact that you still cannot identify a problem the GA law was designed to address.  That lack of detail is exactly why I can’t hire you as my financial adviser.

Unless you are running a paper route or cutting yards on the side... a legit minimum wage job will more than likely want some sort of ID.

This is especially hoaxy, even for you.  I didn't realize that China deceived us about the efficacy of Lysol-to-lung COVID treatments.  Sounds like you've had a bit too much hydroxychloroquine today and have become dizzy.  Be careful on the roads if you decide to drive.

Every fee will be waived for people who are unable to afford it, I have had several students who have applied for it in order to get a job and their parents could not afford it. The paperwork is not even that long, about 2 pages long.

No I don't think they made a stupid decision because I believe that voter ID should be required.  As I've said repeatedly, I'll defend the right of anyone to vote as long as they are legally allowed to vote.  The stupidity is the (typical over) reaction, and that's on Joe.

In addition to being lousy at epidemiology, you're also bad at logic.  You will defend the right of anyone to vote as long as they are legally allowed to vote.  Yet you believe that we should erect a barrier to voting through a "voter ID."  So I guess, perhaps, you believe in the right, but you're also fine with making it more difficult to exercise that right.  That's almost as convoluted as insisting that HCQ is an effective treatment for COVID-19.

Along the HCQ line, any chance you'll be on the front lines of the Trump airlift of all of that excess HCQ to Brazil?  It looks like they could use it now.  Maybe you could work it out so that it's parachuted into Sao Paulo and just lies about the streets for everyone to pick up and munch.  Or, maybe you could mash it up and put it in one of those big sprayer planes and just douse the hot zones with HCQ.  Throw in a little Lysol while you're at it.  All the fake treatments in one shot.  Those are just ideas, of course.  I'll leave it to your "expertise" in that field to select the proper course of care.

And that's sort of the point, Chef Jim Crow.  You support the erection of barriers to voting to address a problem with voting that doesn't exist.  Seems like you're in the Wacka boat; he readily admits that the only "problem" this law is intended to address is "one party rule."  Personally, rather than trying to disenfranchise people, if I was part of the group that passed this law I might try a moment of introspection and ask myself why my ideas no longer are popular with the majority of the population.  But that's not what the MAGA/Republicans decided to do, and it's not what the Crow Crew here thinks is best.
