Some people what?? Just because some question if this amount money for this type of linebacker makes the most sense, my question is why aren’t you asking the same question

did you not watch this defense for the majority of the season or in two games against the chiefs

That post had nothing to do with you. Stop making this about you.

I get that. But OT at 30 seems like a value pick this year. I wouldn't mind young bookends locked up for several years. jmo

O-line is not plug and play like it used to be 10-15 years ago. A lot of rookie O-line players at all 5 positions struggle at higher rates than they used to. O-line players can take 2-3 years to develop due to lack of run blocking in college and other factors transitioning from college to the pros. I think it is possible the Bills still go O-line with that pick, if D.Williams just gets a ludicrous offer or they still sign D.Williams but draft a Mongo replacement who can kick out 3 years from now.

The Bills could and should still make a big offer to D.Williams, I wouldn't want to trust the second most important O-line position to a rookie even a first rounder.

Happy to have him back but not so happy about $11M per. Will have to see how this breaks down in terms of yearly cap numbers. I think a pass rusher and TE are still more important than Milano. You could argue the OL is more important as well.

His cap hit this year is 7

If this costs you Williams at RT or one of the big pass rushers then I don’t understand this

Milano is a nice player but he got torched against kC and doesn’t impact the game enough to cost us chances at Williams or an elite pass rushers

Williams is replaceable , not good run blocker.  Lots of edge guys going to be available, and even some good O lineman with cap purges just getting going.  Get best you can of either thru one FA move , then use 30 on the other position or if an exceptional talent like etienne ever drops grab him and we can be set.  Milano had more value to our scheme and this is good resigning.  Watch all 22 film on Williams. Great at pass protect but at times he was horrible in the run scheme.  He literally stood at times never hitting anyone and there was a reason we didn’t run that way much if he was supposedly  so good; believe me it was surprising and while.I would be ok keeping him , I think if we found a guy like him last year, Beane can do it again given upcoming roster purgers because of cap casualties.

If Klein can be used on 3rd downs or passing downs as a pass rusher he fills a role otherwise he's wasting cap space on the bench.

I remember the Seattle game.....Klein has his role....and its important.  Not as dynamic as Milano when healthy, but, still a player.

Why don’t you visit your gastroenterologist about that long piece of lumber you’re dealing with, take a step back, and realize that you have no idea what you’re responding to.

Couldn’t look at the screen shot on Spotrac and see that under “signing bonus” it said $6M for every season... when it was already reported that his signing bonus was $7M total spread over the life of the contract.

That’s what I mean by some people... being able to critically think and recall information.

The defense in the 2nd half of the season was a top 10 defense... yeah I didn’t just formulate my opinion on the first few weeks of the season.

Very conflicted on this. Dude is an absolute baller and this is our super bowl window.  But at the same time, he struggles to stay healthy, OLB is one of the “easier” positions to replace, and it will cost us someone at a position I think is more important (OT, pass rusher, or Te).

can’t be mad keeping a good player and good for Matt. He is a legit playmaker. But if he left and they drafted someone like Zaven Collins and used the money elsewhere, could that be have been better? 😬

it will be interesting to see what they do next.

Chiefs two games, how did the defense look? How did the defense look against the colts?

3 playoff games, they were pitiful in two of them but yes let’s pay Milano and keep it going

Klein costs us $6M this year, Milano $7M. That's still less than some thought Milano would command in the market, and we get TWO LBs who can start if one gets injured. I like it.

They still have the pick to use elsewhere.

Likely Williams has decided he wishes to try free agency.

I know from first hand source Milano has been working out in martial arts during offseason to increase his core strength.
