Maybe you have a gambling problem.

As for Hauschka's %,  I covered that in a thread upstream.

Nope.  It was a unique name for a kicker.

Covered what?  That Bass has surpassed Hauschka's FG% since the 49'ers game and that he's no longer kicking in the NFL because he's no longer reliable?  Must have missed it.

Pretty classic how a thread about Kenny Stills turned into a thread about Gabe Davis that turned into a thread about Tyler Bass.

Personally, I think Davis and Bass were both excellent draft choices. Y'all can debate which was a better pick, but I will say that calling Bass a mediocre kicker is a strange take, especially when you consider his kickoff talent as well.

For where Davis was picked, he's been a solid addition.  I was unethused about his performance against the Cheaters though.  But he's a rookie.

I just think it's unrealistic to expect someone we just signed to be able to 1) master our said-to-be complex offense  2) fill Beasley's role which requires intense and careful mind-meld between WR and QB to avoid interceptions

Just send him on go routes to clear out the underneath stuff.

Never heard of him until now.  Should have tried a Long Duk ***** reference as that's what I was more into in the early-80s.

This is the first time he has missed games in the last 3 seasons.  He missed 6 games in one season.  One game in two other seasons out of 7 total seasons.  That doesn't sound frequently injured to me.

Fair enough, I’ll admit that I haven’t really followed Brown’s career. I thought I’d read that his career had been bogged down by injury concerns, and that he was a guy with good production when not injured. I could just be thinking of the wrong guy.

Several very nice blocks Monday.  I can't believe people can complain bout the season Davis has put in.  He's been a very solid contributor and has done so in several ways.  He looks like a solid pro as a rookie who had no pre-season.  Geez.

There's 2 ways to view this. Depth, if Brown or even Diggs go down we can't rely on Davis yet. Beasley won't be ready for the wild card.

Now Beasley out isn't as big a deal as Brown. Reason is Diggs operates the slot as well as he does outside. So they can line him up all over and have success. Now you throw Stills out there and you better account for him.

Gabe Davis also can play the slot.

Yup.  As a fourth receiver on the team, he is 8 yards shy of 500 receiving yards and has 6 TDs with several clutch catches including that beautiful TD against Miami

These Davis takes are a hoot...mostly fact free.

All the guy does, as a rookie, is show up ready to play every week, and produce.

He has 3 drops on 57 targets.

He has 15 YPC, about 500 yards so far.

He has 6 TDs

He has 1st downs

To sum it up, he has 33 catches:  31 resulted in either TDs or 1st downs---and the is while settling for crumbs leftover from Diggs and Beasley.

He's their best pick in the draft this past year, hands down.

Just for your information, these Gabriel Davis haters are actually fan boys of Duke Williams. They are yearning all season for Duke to play.

Do we have an open Roster spot?  Gary Jennings was just signed to PS. The WR that worked out yesterday

I didn't see anyone answer you on this Bobby.

Yes there is currently 2 spots open on the main roster.  One from the Kumerow waiver which John Brown will take.

The other right now is from Yeldon on the Covid list.

It would leave the RBs light but they always could elevate the Williams kid from the PS if needed I guess.

That would mean 7 WRs on the roster which is a lot but I think it's worth it with Beasley as an unknown.

At this point if it doesn't happen it'll of been such a ***** tease.

I'd still find it funny though.

I don’t think it is official until he clears COVID protocols to come in and sign.

Beane said early in the season - it takes time to sign these guys because they have to clear to sign - if they officially sign him now - they would need to clear space before he clears protocol - so you lose a spot for a minimum of 5 days.

Therefore it is a deal in place and once he clears they will make it official.

Also - I don’t believe they can do a physical exam until he clears COVID protocol.  You do not want him potentially exposing any of the Bills medical staff - which could then spread through the team.  The official signing will come Sunday or more likely Monday and then he will begin to get acclimated to the team.

I think it is the other way around.  He will get COVID tests and once cleared - they can do the physical and finalize the deal.

I think the testing must clear first.

How did they sign the practice wr that was just in yesterday though?

just a matter of time until we hear the news he signed.

His Wikipedia page has him as a professional football player of the Buffalo Bills. Just saying . . .
