Yup. If you're gonna play bend but don't break. and intentionally give up the run, then you better get points when you have the rock.

I mean Mahomes is the best QB alive. If you give him opportunities, he'll kill you with the big play, so I don't neccesarily mind the game plan on D. It actually worked to a certain degree. Afterall the Bills were THIS close to having the ball, down 6, in Chiefs territtory, with just about 5 left.

When you have a defense coordinator who is losing the team and McDermott better take note.  Frazier does not have a game plan he gets out coached time and time again.

He doesn't deserve defense but who do we replace him with?

Either McD's hands are all over this defense already (and we're f-ed) or they should be. If they're not, time for them to be. If they are, anyone know of any good golf courses open sundays in January?

After yet another pathetic display on defense heads should roll. No pass rush. Jerry Hughes and Oliver are complete after thoughts. Only time I ever see them is when they are chasing or pushed out of a play. Hyde and Poyer have gotten old quickly. No longer making plays like they used to. LBs are a joke. And that’s even with our top 2 on the field. But..we’re stuck with them. What can you do?

Also, I like Josh, but it wasn’t even close on the field tonight. I’m getting a little sick of him coming out for games like someone lit his jersey on fire. I thought we were past that. He has to settle down. I need our QB to have some dang composure when he’s out there. The receivers dropping passes and lack of creativity by Daboll did him no favors, but I can’t even get there with that today. He has to play better in year 3.

No clue what we do about McD in big games against superior coaches. He feasts on the gimmes (which is a step up around here for what we are used to) and is completely outclassed against the top guys. I’ll believe us beating the Cheats this year when I see it. They still have Belichick, right?

I agree, but wasn’t that while Mahomes was out? Can you imagine where the Bills would be with Barkley?

And who are we without? There are always injuries...sometimes they make a big impact, sometimes not. The point is this: it’s a long season. After each loss, everyone should NOT be fired.

I worry that a lot of the defensive guys got paid and maybe they don't have that heart. Hughes, Addision, Tre, Poyer and several other defenders either got new contracts or extensions. I hope they get Zimmer more snaps he was one of the bright spots.

It's a very common thing in a lot of sports. I don't want to buy this because I don't think McD would allow this to happen. His "culture" calls are starting to come under fire as we clearly get ill-disciplined and cannot stay focused, but even still I don't see players being allowed to not give their all. That said, there's something not right. Zimmer played really well and I agree with you there

Josh was off in the 1st half granted the defense did him few favors. Also he had a few misses from his WRs. I'd call it a team loss but blame the D more.

Honestly I thought Daboll gave up on Allen too soon. He was bad in the 1st Q, but he should have gotten back to the spread offense in the 2nd and 3rd. He didn't go back to it until the emergency TD drive that Allen spearheaded.

Could have been 13-13 at the half too. Hell, if they got 3 points on any of their other drives in the 2nd half it would have been close.

The offense was really bad.

Gotta think at some point in the (very) near future McDermott takes control of the defensive play calling from Frazier...

Why does this have to happen every year. You can set your watch to it. Just get rid of Frazier. Let McD just be DC/HC. Our new additions to the D are terrible and the vets are starting to show their age. Our only 3 promising young defensive players have been hurt all year. We have 1 cupcake left on our schedule and after that it's a tough game every week. I'm changing my 12-4 to 9-7. This D is embarrassing.

I thought the defensive game plan was alright. If they didn’t get run over for 250 yards could have potentially stole one there. On the other side we struggled running the ball which forces team to rely on Allen to bail them out on 3rd and long constantly which we could’ve do.

The D was an embarrassment and for the 2nd week in a row Josh Allen performed poorly IMO.

So if we get points every time they punt we win(which is like 2-3x/game0.  Got it.  You just unlocked the code on how all crappy teams can be good

The point was that the defensive game plan held KC to below their scoring average. Josh and the offense punted twice in the third quarter and it was why KC had a two possession lead and despite that quick scoring drive KC was just able to grind the clock and kick a field goal. The defense needs at least 2 pieces (a run stuffing DT and a pass rusher) and Milano back but its not as tragic as people are making it out to be.

Sadly no comments about our inept O-line and running game.  If we can't get past their front four running the ball, teams are just gonna sit in zone all game.

Only Denver's O line is worse at run blocking so far, and even that may change after this week. This line is not good enough, the tackles are doing the best, the guards the worst, Morse is okay but has never been a great run blocker. No push in the middle.

The gameplan was very Pats like in a sense. They wanted to limit the possessions and basically keep it to a one possession game the whole way and take your chances that you make the plays late. The defense gave up 26 points. The offense punted twice in the third quarter and Bass missed a field goal late in the first half. That's all she wrote. Bass making that kick and Josh scoring at least 3 on one of those possessions makes things much different.

A 52 yard FG isn't a gimme for any kicker.

Agreed, a 52 yarder in the rain isn't an easy kick. I am not blaming Bass, it was just something that could have given this team a sense of momentum going into the second half. The two punts in the third were killers. You know the game plan is to limit possessions so you have little room for error.
