Please narrowly restrict discussion in this thread to NFL issues and NFL covid-19 policy/enforcement.  It is acceptable to post links to articles about NFL policies and how they are implemented from high-factual sources.

Two Bills Drive no longer finds it appropriate to engage in COVID-19 discussion in our main discussion areas. We are a Buffalo Bills fan community and we exist to serve fans of the Buffalo Bills and the NFL. Please use other communities and venues to discuss heath-related topics including COVID-19.

Information about COVID-19 is available from many globally respected sources including:

Uptodate     |  British Medical Journal Best Practice   |      COVIPENDIUM    |    Our world in Data

The pinned topic: COVID-19 - Facts and Information Only Topic, located on the Off the Wall subforum, is also a resource.   Should these not meet your needs, many other sources of information (of varied accuracy) exist.

Thank you!

The problem is it takes a few days from getting thr virus to testing positive. But even in that interim you can still spread it to someone else. The Patriots/Chiefs game should have never been played.

This is exactly why I think the league plan will ultimately fail, unfortunately.  All it is going to take is a couple of knuckleheads to spread it around and start dramatically impacting games.

If any Chief tests positive this will be a major problem.  Because it will throw the entire process into question.  I suspect the Chiefs will be fine - outdoors and limited sustained contact.  But if Mahommes tests positive after the post-game interaction then things will get real ugly real quick.

maybe Mahommes has already tested positive and is now immune

Wow! That photo is something given this morning's news. Neither player should have let that moment happen. It is my understanding that it takes more than a moment of exposure to transmit it, but if not...the league is about to lose its coverboy for a couple weeks.

And the NFL cannot write the memo fast enough banning postgame handshakes or any interaction.

NFLPA will likely say no for in general they are against safety changes - example when NFL mandated pads.

Time for the league to take a two week pause, all teams stand down, and just push the calendar out to the right two weeks.  Get this sucker under control.  It's not like they have facility usage problems.  No events are planned in these stadiums that can't be pushed.

Have you been tested for CTE?

If I'm Goodell I would investigate if Gilmore was deliberately trying to infect other players. #Covidgate

P*ts will get comp picks for that.

Wow that picture don't look good.  He may as well be kissing him.

Wouldn't be shocked to see new NFL requirement of Lexan face shields in helmet.

See previous NFLPA objections to new safety equipment in past.

Remember an NFLPA officer saying 'Once we allowed NFL to mandate helmets we went down slippery slope.  The NFL refused our reasonable request to increase percentage of revenue every time they did this.'

That answers a couple questions discussed on TBD today. Practicing Friday AND Saturday must be acceptable under the CBL. And it seems this is a way to put the entire Pats* team on the COVID-exempt list without actually putting them on it.

Or they may be planning on cheating and getting away it.

The league didn't "bake in" make up games (they may have to adjust that now) with the hope the players would follow the rules they established

for the season.  It may be time for the NFLPA also to come out with a statement to the players supporting what the league is doing.

 players follow rules!

True but there may be enough players who want them on their own even to protect themselves.
