chaccof
I always liked him as a coach and a TV announcer. I loved the line that the OP put in his post. What a scream. RIP Sam.
The Jokeman
RIP Great offensive mind too bad could never get it done with the Bengals or coach up JP Losman to his athletic abilities.

The Frankish Reich
I loved Sam Wyche and his offensive concepts. Always in the shadow of Bill Walsh, but if you have to be in someone's shadow, that's not such a bad choice.

Got the Bengals real close.... that was a great Super Bowl in 1988. A real nail biter. While I still wish it had been us, the Bengals smoked us pretty good in the AFC Championship, and had a great team.
KD in CA
RIP. Wyche was an entertaining coach, sure was fun back in the day when he and Glanville were butting heads.

Jerry Jabber
Sad news. I remember the Bills teams of the 80's could never get past the Bengals when Wyche was their coach. RIP Sam.
JoeF
I remember Sam getting close to JP Losman. Found this story. https://billswire.usatoday.com/2017/06/15/former-bills-quarterback-j-p-losman-buffalo-is-the-bomb/ Although JP didn't work out as a franchise QB, Sam certainly influenced JP's character development. machine gun kelly
I always had the upmost respect for Sam. Innovative offensive mind. Buffalo fans often think we started the no huddle game as was done so well in those days, but Sam was doing it Cincy in the 80’s, and I believe although they lost, think they made it two SB. Wasn’t easy to beat SF and Montana back then. RIP Sam.
