His current playstyle could have him out of the league with injuries in 3 years, he takes too many big hits. Some of that is on the OC, some is on him hanging on to the ball

He has shown promise this year and i would say he has grown alot but he has to start hitting more of his passes. I'm talking about the easy ones, where guys are wide open and he airmails it or throws it in the dirt. The easy stuff he has to start hitting more consistently if he wants to last.

Lastly, he has to figure out how to beat the blitz right up the middle, he's been abysmal against the middle blitz.

I don't understand the point of this thread

Josh was a 1st round pick for whom we traded up

Players in whom we have that investment get time and effort to prove themselves.

He gets a partial pass for last season as the plan wasn't to have him start.

We are now 10-5 on the season.  Josh has 27 total TDs and 13 total turnovers, 3594 total yards.

That's not "bust" territory.  He will be our starter for 3 years.  Neither is it "magical franchise man" territory.

The question for next year and his 4th year is to ensure we put enough offense around him to enable the FO to make a good decision about whether to pay him or move on.

This is all true, so the premise of the thread is flawed. But all the talent in the world wouldn't have had any effect on some of the awful throws we saw today. As you said, the decisions around Allen won't come until year 4/5. He's got a lot of positives, so he's not going to bust. But man. The frequency of those errant passes today was alarming.

Without real weapons to compliment John Brown, this team will continue to struggle to sustain drives.

I was huge on N’Keal Harry, imagine a physical talent like that opposite JB. Cole Beasley isn’t the answer that Josh Allen needs. He needs a hands receiver. Someone who can make a play on the ball every time it’s thrown to him. To many times in every game, Beasley’s arms get short, or his legs don’t have enough spring.... but then he makes a play on the game ball at the end. Consistency is a young QB’s best friend. Short passes and screen game would be wonderful additions to the offense.

If Brandon Beane doesn’t support Josh Allen with skill players, then in 3 years, it won’t matter who the QB is.

I doubt a guy who’s putting up like 27 tds gets benched. His second season has been a huge improvement. That second td thrown today is the  kind of play that I love and can come at any time. His effort is undeniable. His work ethic will take him far.

Some say we are wasting our defense.our d got manhandled today even if we held them to field goals at time.

I don't see a "huge" improvement.

I see us squeaking out wins against terrible opponents.  I see a defense that carried us to the playoffs.  I see a qb who is completing 58% on the season and is averaging under 50% in our losses.  I see a schedule that will be much harder next year because of our success next year.

If Allen doesn't take a huge step forward next year we could be in serious trouble by late October.

I know it hurts a lot of people's feelings to say this because Allen is a great human being and a very likeable person, but Im not seeing a franchise Qb in the making.

That's much too simple an analysis.

He has huge accuracy problems against all opponents.

It doesn't matter how good or bad a DB is if he is beaten but Allen can't physically get the ball to the receiver.

Allen's main problem is that he can't string entire games or even entire quarters together with strong play.

Why? Because he is not good enough to do so.

My fear is that he will be perceived as "good enough" to get a long look and it will take a long time to finally move on from him.  During that time, the Bills will not be a serious contender for anything.

I bet your woman (if you have one) has the hots for Allen.  Can be the only explanation for why you come here to trash Allen, but nobody or nothing else about this team.  You literally contribute nothing to this forum other than biased useless drivel!

Who out there is franchise? Your looking for a hall of famer. Most franchise in the past twenty years haven’t sniffed a hall of famer. Deshawn Watson doesn’t look great every game.  Other than Mahomes who do you want?

and I disagree I think Josh has won us a lot of games this season and our defense has come up average in others.

there is no way we should make the 2019 pats look like 2001.

Is this your weak attempt to soften the blow of your consistent biased drivel. We've read your posts and can see right through your BS.

Bro, we have the 2nd-3rd, arguably the best Defense in the league.

We are ranked 28th out of 32 in passing.

We've rode the defense to the playoffs, thats a fact.  If this defense was a middle of the pack defense, this team would be lucky to have 7 wins right now.

I’m not sure what made me think of this before the game but it’s crazy how few Bills qbs have led the bills to the playoffs. Since the merger you have Ferguson, kelly, flutie, Tyrod and Allen. If I’m missing someone here let me know. I wasn’t around for the early 80s or 70s obviously but that’s a short list. My guess is Allen sticks for a bit. Especially if he can deliver a playoff win this year in Houston or KC. The list of Bills qbs with a playoff win is very short.

Amazing how its the same poster, you and a few others who consistently feel the need to express how you can see through my BS.

ive been a fan of this team my whole life and a member of this board for 8 years.

If you have a problem with my opinions, ignore them as I do with yours and others.   Grow up.

Yea I know you said after the merger but you can't ignore JACK KEMP my man!

And lets be honest, the Bills backed into the playoffs with Tyrod.

You don't act like an 8-year veteran; you act like a whiner with only one point of contention - to complain about the QB.  Try being a little more rounded and provide constructive criticism across the spectrum instead of focusing it all on Allen.  If you did that; you might be taken more seriously.

Ok But you just mentioned we were squeaking out wins against bad teams. So is our d that good? or is because we have played bad teams? I like our D

But today We got killed in time of possession  we gave up  over 400 yards to an offense that for the past number of weeks has been dreadful. We got no pressure on Brady and had them pinned on the one yard line. It was not A Good day  for the d. What stops our d

from Being elite is lack of turnovers against good offenses. I’m not excusing Josh play but the pin it one guy over and over is

just crazy.

Also considering how he played the first time against the pats. It was an improvement

Qb is the focal point of the team, of pretty much any NFL team.   Try being a bit more objective about our own Qb and maybe Id take you more seriously.

I don't really care to converse with you anymore.  So I won't be responding to you any further.
